    • A recovery assembly (22) for a crypreservation device comprises: - a support (26) for mounting the recovery assembly to an access opening (42) of a cryopreservation container (1 6) to be at least partially filled with a cooling agent (12), and - at least one flow channel (32) to form at least one protective gas stream (34) to reduce escapement of the cooling agent from the container. The recovery assembly preferably comprises a cone-shaped funnel portion (24). The flow channel is to be connected with e.g. a suction blower, by way of which a helically converging (e.g. cyclone type) protective gas stream is generated. In this way, evaporating cooling agent escaping through the access opening is accelerated and slaved by the protective gas stream. Liquid particles of the cooling agent are accelerated accordingly, hit the inside-facing wall of funnel portion and may thus be collected.
