    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which an image of high image quality of ≤0.25 in graininess after fixing can be obtained and an image forming apparatus.
      SOLUTION: The contact pressure of a transfer roller (not shown in Figure) and a photoreceptor is so set that the ratio of the dot area of the toner image on the photoreceptor after development and the dot area after transfer to a paper sheet (recording material) (in Figure, the width L/d of the image) is 0.8 to 1.1. The developing device is so constituted that the toner height on the photoreceptor after the development is ≤3 times the average toner grain size. As a result, transfer dirt and a void are prevented and the graininess after the fixing is specified to ≤0.25, by which the image of high image quality is obtained.
