    • A hydraulic brake booster (12) is characterized in that the regulated supply fluid acts on the first piston (118) to develop a corresponding ooperational fluid pressure which is communicated via port (110) to a first set of wheel brakes(14, 14') while the regulated supply fluid is directly communicated via port (130) to a second set of wheel brakes (18, 18') to effect a brake application. A ECU (40) associated with the brake system (10) responds to operational situation experienced by the vehicle to controls the development of a secondary input force which activates the control valve arrangement (170) for directly communicating regulated supply fluid to the second set of wheel brakes (18, 18') to effect a brake application therein and selectively communicates the regulated supply fluid to the first bore (102) which acts on the first piston (118) to pressurizes operational fluid therein to effect a brake application in the first set of wheel brakes (14, 14') and attenua the operational situations experienced by the vehicle.
