    • An apparatus and method for programmable lock detection and correction (PLDC) to a programmable accuracy in a digital delay-locked loop (DLL) based multiphase clock generator (MCG) is based on a DLL that utilizes a digital count to control the delay of a digitally controlled, multiple-tap delay line in its feedback path where stability of the digital count is used to qualify the determination of lock to a programmable accuracy and lock determination is based on combinatorial evaluation of the multiple phase outputs for the proper waveform relationships. The incidence of false lock corresponding to excessive delay through the delay line is addressed by a LOOPRESET signal that results in a reset of the digital count that controls the delay through the delay line. Additionally, programmability of the stability interval, the digital counter step size, and the accuracy of the lock provide control over lock acquisition time.

    • A flexible delay cell architecture and related methods are provided that may be used, for example, with input/output (I/O) blocks of a programmable logic device (PLD). In one implementation, a PLD includes a delay cell comprising a plurality of delay elements. The delay elements are adapted to delay an input signal to provide an output signal according to a delay setting corresponding to a number of the delay elements. The PLD also includes a register adapted to store the delay setting. The PLD further includes an edge monitor adapted to signal whether an edge transition of the output signal has occurred during a time window. In addition, the PLD includes logic adapted to adjust the delay setting stored by the register in response to the edge monitor signaling the edge transition.

    • A joining arrangement is provided for use in the construction of stud frame which includes a releasable attachment/detachment feature. The first member (plate) includes in at least one side wall a formation which, when members are joined, engages a corresponding formation in at least one wall of the second member (stud).     • A method for forming a joining profile in a structural member comprises providing an assembly having a base member, a forming body and a pair of side anvils having profiles formed therewithin. The method further comprises mounting the structural member on the base member, advancing the forming body toward the structural member such that the structural member is clamped to the base member, urging the side anvils toward flanges of the structural member, forming a profile in each of the flanges, and engaging protrusions of the side anvils with the web such that opposing portions of the web are forced upwardly by the protrusions at locations adjacent to each one of the flange profiles in order to accommodate formation of the flange profiles in the structural member. Formation of the joining profiles in the structural members allows for detachable engagement thereof with another member having a corresponding mating profile.
