    • The present invention teaches silicone polyether copolymers with a low degre e of polymerization (3 to 4 Si units) provide control for foams generated by orga nosilicone based surfactants in water without the need for an additional antifoam component. The copolymer foam control agent is a compound of the formula (CH3)3SiO[SiO(CH3)1]x[SiOCH3R1]ySi(CH)3 wherein X + Y = 1 to 2, Y ~ 1, R1 is an alkyleneoxide group of the formula C aH2aO(C3H6O)zR2 wherein a = 3 to 4, z is 1 to 15, R2 is hydrogen, a hydrocarbon radical of 1 to 4 carbons or acetyl. This invention provides compositions for use in agricultural formulations th at give improved foam control for foams generated from organosilicone surfactants in aqueous systems. The copolymer foam control agent is soluble in a surfactant matrix comprised of all organosilicone surfactant alone or in mixtures with short chain conventional surfactants. This invention provides clear, homogeneous. low foaming agricultural formulations having of a water insoluble copolymer foam control agent, and a water soluble or dispersible t risiloxane or tetrasiloxane alkoxylates when said formulation is used in an aqueous mixtur e.

    • La invencion enseña copolímeros de poliéter de silicona con un bajo grado de polimerizacion (3 a 4 unidades de Si), que controlan las espumas generadas por agentes tensoactivos a base de organosilicona en agua, sin necesitar un componente más contra la espuma. El agente de control de la espuma del copolímero es un compuesto de la formula: (CH3)3SiO[SiO(CH3)2]X[SiOCH3R1] y Si(CH3)3 donde X + Y = de 1 a 2, y >=1, R1 es un grupo oxido de alquileno de la formula CaH2aO(C3H6O)2R2, en que a= de 3 a 4, z = de 1 a 15, R2 es hidrogeno, un radical hidrocarburo con 1 a 4 átomos de carbono o acetilo. Esta invencion suministra composiciones para el uso en formulaciones para la agricultura, que suministra un control mejorado de la espuma, para las espumas generadas de agentes tensoactivos de organosilicona en sistemas acuosos. El agente de control de la espuma del copolímero es soluble en una matriz de un detergente tensioactivo, que comprende un agente tensoactivo de organosilocona solo o en mezcla con agentes tensoactivos convencionales de cadena corta.
