    • PURPOSE:To discriminate the arrival bearing of sound in three dimensions all around a sound pickup point by arranging bidirectional microphones and a nondirectional microphone so that the directing axes of the microphones are aligned in the close proximity, and synthesizing and operating the vectors of three signals containing sound pressure data and positive and negative direction data on the axes. CONSTITUTION:The outputs of four microphones 1 - 4 are inputted into A/D converters 9 through preamplifiers 7 and filters 8. The signals are sampled in synchronization with each output and converted into digital signals. The digital outputs of the microphones are inputted into a multiplier part 11 of an operating means through buffer memories 10. In the multiplying part 11, the outputs of the bidirectional microphones 2, 3 and 4 on the axes of X, Y and Z are multiplied by the output of the nondirectional microphone 1 on the same time axis, respectively. Thus, 3 one- dimensional vector signals containing the sound pressure data and the positive and negative data on the axes of X, Y and Z are formed. The results of the multiplications of the axes of X, Y and Z are inputted into a display processor 12a of a display means 12. In the processor 12a, 3 one-dimensional vector signals are synthesized and operated, and the vector of arrival bearing of the sound is specified.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method for an acoustic output for measuring the acoustic output of each sound source without stopping any of a plurality of sound sources from sounding and in a point separated far away from the sound source, to provide a program for executing the measuring method, to provide a recording medium with a recorded program, and to provide a measur ing apparatus.
SOLUTION: In the measuring method for the acoustic output, the acoustic output W
j of any sound source j from among sound sources in (n) pieces of simultaneously sounding sound sources is measured. In different sound measuring points (k) whose number (n) is identical to that of the sound sources, the acoustic output W
j of each sound source (j) is calculated on the basis of respective simultaneously measured sounding volumes L
k , and on the basis of linear distances d
jk up to each sound source j from the respective sound measuring points (k).

    • PURPOSE:To provide a soil and sand separating device which can lessen the occurrence of low frequency noise or vibration. CONSTITUTION:A soil and sand separating device is provided with a soil and sand separating mechanism 20a fitted with the screens 1a, 3a and 4a and blind patch 2a capable of separating soil and sand and with a soil and sand separating mechanism 20b fitted with the screens 1b, 3b and 4b and blind patch 2b capable of separating soil and sand and such separating mechanisms are installed on a foundation 29 in an adjoining manner. In order that an exciter 6a of the separating mechanism 20a and an exciter 6b of the separating mechanism 20b may be vibrated with substantially the same frequency and in antiphase relationship, a rotating shaft 31a of the exciter 6a and a rotating shaft 31b of the exciter 6b are connected to a single rotatably driving mechanism 26 via a connecting mechanism 25. The two separating mechanisms 20a and 20b are integrally enclosed with a soundproof panel 28.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discriminating peeling of external wall tile by which the peeling of tiles from the external wall of a building can be discriminated easily and accurately even when the wall surface to be inspected changes, by discriminating the soundness of tiles by finding teacher data from the sounds produced when the tiles are knocked, and recognizing the patterns of the teacher data and inspection data of individual tiles, namely, using the correlation coefficient between both data at the time of diagnosing the peeling and deterioration of the tiles, at the case of electrically processing the sounds without relying upon the hearing sense of human beings. SOLUTION: Tiles 20 having stable frequency characteristics are discriminated as sound tiles 20 from the results obtained by performing 1/3-octave band analysis at every tiles 20, and the effective values of the frequency characteristics are used as teacher data DT. The correlation coefficient ρx, y between the teacher data DT and the measured data (1/3-octave bend analyzed values) of individual tiles 20 are calculated and, when the coefficient ρx, y of a tile 20 is larger than a prescribed threshold (k), the tile 20 is diagnosed as a sound tile 20 and, when the coefficient ρx, y is smaller than the threshold (k), the tile 20 is diagnosed as a coming-off tile 20.
