    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discriminating peeling of external wall tile by which the peeling of tiles from the external wall of a building can be discriminated easily and accurately even when the wall surface to be inspected changes, by discriminating the soundness of tiles by finding teacher data from the sounds produced when the tiles are knocked, and recognizing the patterns of the teacher data and inspection data of individual tiles, namely, using the correlation coefficient between both data at the time of diagnosing the peeling and deterioration of the tiles, at the case of electrically processing the sounds without relying upon the hearing sense of human beings. SOLUTION: Tiles 20 having stable frequency characteristics are discriminated as sound tiles 20 from the results obtained by performing 1/3-octave band analysis at every tiles 20, and the effective values of the frequency characteristics are used as teacher data DT. The correlation coefficient ρx, y between the teacher data DT and the measured data (1/3-octave bend analyzed values) of individual tiles 20 are calculated and, when the coefficient ρx, y of a tile 20 is larger than a prescribed threshold (k), the tile 20 is diagnosed as a sound tile 20 and, when the coefficient ρx, y is smaller than the threshold (k), the tile 20 is diagnosed as a coming-off tile 20.

    • PURPOSE: To detect the extent of deterioration of the outer wall of a building automatically by diagnosing the outer wall using upper and lower wall face hitting means mounted on an elevating/lowering truck suspended from a truck moving on the rooftop. CONSTITUTION: Initial setting is made, at first, for automatic inspection and a winding pulley 53 mounted on an elevating/lowering truck 5 is operated by a radio command delivered from an operating board. When the truck 5 is stopped at an inspecting position and the X-Y position is set at zero, the X-Y position on the wall face is presented, by the unit of cm, on the display part of the operating board. When wall face hitting means 42, 42A are operated through a traversing means 62 to hit the wall face by means of a hammer 58 thereof, the hitting sound is detected by means of a microphone 60. The peak rate of oscillation wave is then processed and analyzed by means of a hitting sound analyzer 60A and the results are delivered from a radio 71 for the elevating/lowering truck to a computer and displayed on a screen. When the truck is run sequentially on a rail laid on the rooftop depending on the width of a building and the work is repeated similarly, the wall face can be inspected entirely.

    • PURPOSE: To detect the deterioration of a wall face by knocking the wall face of a building with a wall face knocking means in a vertically moving carriage suspended by wires from a roof moving carriage, and calculating the peak-to-rms ratio of the vibration wave-form of the detected knocking sound. CONSTITUTION: A roof moving carriage 1 is mounted on a rail 3 installed on the coping of a building roof 2a , it is moved to the end position of a building 2, a vertically moving carriage 5 suspended by wires 4 is lifted or lowered by the radio command from an operation panel 10 and stopped at an inspection position, and the zero position of the X-Y coordinates is set. A wall face 2A is knocked by a hammer via a traverse moving means in the carriage 5, the knocking sound is detected by a microphone, the peak-to-rms ratio of the vibration wave-form is calculated, and the analyzed result is sent to a computer 10 via a lift radio and displayed on a screen 8a . The knocking sound is detected four times in the 2-m span of the rail 3, similar actions are repeated while the installation position of the rail 3 is moved in sequence according to the width of the building 2, and deterioration is detected on the whole wall face 2A.
