摘要： PURPOSE:To open smoothly and easily a closing plug in the stage of lifting said plug and discharging a molten metal from an outflow hole by forming said plug of refractories having the coefft. of thermal expansion of prescribed times the coefft. of thermal expansion of the surface of the outflow hole in contact with the plug. CONSTITUTION:The closing plug 7 to be fitted into the molten metal outflow hole formed of tuyeres 2, 8 and an upper nozzle 1 is made into the constitution in which said plug is lifted from the lower side of the plug 7 by a lifting mechamism to discharge the molten metal through the hole opened in such a manner. The refractories having the coefft. of thermal expansion made 0.6-1.0 times the coefft. of thermal expansion of the surface of the abovementioned outflow hole in contact with the plug 7 are used for the plug 7. The closing plug of the outflow hole is thus smoothly and easily opened and the breakdown of the closing plug is obviated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To repair the bottom of a converter speedily by charging a basic refractory material-based aggregate and repairing material composed of carbon resin into the bottom of a converter and blowing in oxygen from above. CONSTITUTION:Magnesia, dolomite, etc. are used as basic refractory material- based aggregate and also approx. 2-30wt% of carbon resin is used against the total quantity of aggregate of coal-based pitch, asphalet pitch, etc. Approx. less than 10wt% of wetting agent (ethylene glycol, etc.) against the total quantity of aggregate is added to a repairing material consisting of aggregate and carbon resin. After this procedure, this mixture is charged into the bottom of a converter with oxygen injected from above thus to effect repairs. It is possible to add carbon material (natural graphite, etc.), antioxidant (aluminum, etc.) and fibers (stainless steel fiber, etc.) to the repairing material, if necessary.

SOLUTION: The thermometer 3 and forcing tube 4 are inserted into the opening hole part 2 bored at the side surface of the furnace bottom and the monolithic refractory, etc., are forced into the tube and the opening hole part 2 by a forcedly feeding device connected with the end part of the forcing tube 4. In the side surface of the forcing tube 4, many through-holes 6 for discharging the monolithic refractory 5 are arranged, and the outer diameter of the forcing tube 4 is desirable to be aboit 0.1-0.8 in the case of setting 1 for the inner diameter of the opening hole part 2. Further, the through-holes 6 are positioned to the front part of the forcing tube 4 and the furnace center part and the opening hole area at the rear part is made to smaller than that at the front part of the forcing tube 4 and in order to easily pass the monolithic refractory 5, the diameter is desirable to be >=10mm, but this size and number thereof are not particularly limited.

The long nozzle 1 is supported to a nozzle support 3 and id installed to the vessel 5 at the time of exchanging the molten steel ladle 10 during the continuous casting work. When the next ladle 10 is positioned onto the vessel 5, the steel pipe 2 is immersed into the molten steel 7 in the vessel 5 and the pouring from the ladle 10 is immediately started. The long nozzle 1 is simultaneously raised and is joined to the bottom nozzle 11 of the ladle to continue the pouring. The dashing of the slag in the intermediate vessel into the molten steel by the pouring flow from the molten steel ladle is thereby prevented.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the operational period of a blast furnace by press-fitting a plastic shapeless refractory after iron tapping or during blowing-off from a repair hole pierced in a hearth side wall at a position higher than a tap hole in the vicinity of the tap hole to execute the sufficiently curable repair at the wear parts of the side wall at the tap hole part. SOLUTION: A repair hole 3 is pierced in a blast furnace hearth side wall part 2. The repair hole 3 is pierced from an external side wall of the hearth to an internal side wall of the hearth at a position higher than a tap hole 1 in the vicinity of the tap hole 1. When wear parts of the side wall of a furnace bottom in the vicinity of the tap hole 1 where the hot metal is fluidized strongly in the blast furnace, a relatively soft plastic shapeless refractory is press-fitted from the repair hole 3 at the timing when the hot metal level after iron tapping or during blowing-off at the tap hole 1 is sufficiently lowered. A first filled part 4 is formed up to the vicinity of the tap hole 1 with the press-fitted refractory and then, a second filled part 5 is formed up to the upper part of the top hole 1. The wear parts of the side wall of the tap hole part are sufficiently repaired in this way, the iron tapping time is secured and the erosion of bricks is suppressed.
