摘要： PURPOSE: To straighten bend of hard to work wire rod such as titanium and titanium alloy in good efficiency, good yield and good precision. CONSTITUTION: A wire rod S sent from an uncoiler 1 is roughly straightened by a rough straightening machine 2 and is passed through an incoming side tension adding roll 4, incoming side energizing roll 5, outgoing side energizing roll 6 and outgoing-side tension adding roll 7. While tension is added to the wire rod S between the incoming side tension adding roll 4 and outgoing side tension adding roll 7, the wire rod S is energized/heated between the incoming side energizing roll 5 and outgoing side energizing roll 6 while tension is uniformly added in the longitudinal direction. The wire rod S given with a prescribed elongation is cooled between the outgoing side energizing roll 6 and outgoing side energizing roll 7 while tension is added, straightening is executed with contraction and tension due to cooling. The wire rod S straightened is cut to product length by a cutting device 9.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of flaws and stains on the treated surface of a strip, etc., by providing plural differential pressure vacuum chambers between a high-pressure vacuum treatment chamber and a low-pressure vacuum treatment chamber and controlling the pressures thereof to specific values at the time of subjecting the material, such as strip, to surface treatments in the two chambers of the different pressures. CONSTITUTION:The material to be treated, such as strip, is subjected to the surface treatment by a method, such as plasma CVD, in the high-pressure vacuum treatment chamber P1 and is then passed through slits S1 to S5 in the plural differential pressure chambers D1 to D4 and is subjected to the 2nd surface treatment by a method, such as sputtering, in the low- pressure vacuum treatment chamber P2. The pressure in the respective differential pressure chambers D1 to D4 are gradually lowered in this case; in addition, the pressure in the differential pressure chamber D1 adjacent to the high-pressure vacuum treatment chamber P1 is so controlled as to be higher than the pressure in the low-pressure vacuum treatment chamber P1. The pressure in the differential pressure D4 adjacent to the low-pressure vacuum treatment chamber P2 is so controlled as to be lower than pressure in the high-pressure vacuum treatment chamber P2, and the pressure differences between the respective differential pressure chambers are controlled to specified values. The intrusion of the treating gas and contaminants in the high-pressure vacuum treatment chamber P1 into the low-pressure vacuum treatment chamber P2 is prevented and, therefore, the surface-treated strip having the treated surface free from flaws and stains is obtd.

The vessel A is then evacuated from exhaust ports 9, 9' and the material 3 is sent out of the reel 1 at a speed decided according to the quality and thickness of the material 3. The material 3 is coiled around a coiling reel 2 through an inlet side deflector roll 7, a heater 4, a cooler 5 and an outlet side deflector roll 7'.

摘要： PURPOSE:To stably and simply control the partial pressure of reactive gases in a coating tank by setting the ratio between the flow rates of the gases, comparing the detected internal total pressure of the coating tank with the desired pressure and regulating the total flow rate of the gases. CONSTITUTION:The ratio between the flow rates of reactive gases such as N2 and Ar is set at the optimum value. When the internal total pressure of an IP device 2 measured with a vacuum gauge V is lower than the desired degree of vacuum for operation, a PID controller and a proportional amplifier K output a signal for increasing the flow rates of the gases. By the signal, the flow rates of the gases flowing through mass flow controllers 12 are increased so that the internal total pressure of the device 2 is made close to the desired degree of vacuum for operation. When the internal total pressure of the device 2 is higher than the desired degree of vacuum, the PID controller and the amplifier K output a signal for reducing the flow rates of the gases. By the pressure control, the ratio between the amts. of the gases in the device 2 is made nearly uniform and the partial pressures of the gases in a coating tank can be made nearly constant.

When the steel material detector 9 detects the delivered billets, the drive of the table 2 is changed over to a synchronous transmission. The detector 10 detects the end of the preceeding material, the billets on the speed adjusting table 4 is made to approach the billets of last tail of the induction heating furnace 6 at a fast speed and sent to the long side of the billet orthogonally crossed to the transferring direction or within a distance less than 10% of the diameter. The concentrated magnetic flux is reduced in the front and rear end part and the temperature deviation from the other parts is decreased.
