    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To absorb the position error of male and female fittings at the time of an assembly work, and prevent the appearance of a gap between both fittings by forming a projection streak on both sides of a buried fitting to clamp a dovetail web part, regarding a joint between dovetailed segments. SOLUTION: The breadthwise butt ends of segments have a buried fitting made of a male fitting 2A of T-shaped cross section and another buried fitting made of a female fitting 3 of C-shaped cross section respectively for mutual engagement and coupling. Projection streaks 2b and 2c are formed at both sides of the lower surface of a flange 2a as the tensile load acting surface of the male fitting 2A, and formed as the initial support point part where a tensile load acts. The deformation of the flange 2a is thereby facilitated until the occurrence of the prescribed displacement from a tensile displacement start point, upon the exposure of the flange 2a to an initial load as the tensile load, thereby reducing the apparent tensile rigidity of a joint 31. As a result, even if a proper positional relationship is not set between the male fitting 2A and the female fitting 3, tension is absorbed at the time of the coupling and engagement thereof, and the appearance of a gap between the male fitting 2A and the female fitting 3 is prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the working bearing pressure, and to restrict the stress relaxation in comparison with a buffer material 5 made of the conventional rubber material while utilizing an advantage of a rubber material 9, and to secure the adhesive force between the rubber and a steel material in comparison with a case of using a layered rubber as a buffer material for a vibration isolation device. SOLUTION: A shaped body having a large modulus of elasticity such as a steel pipe 11 is integrally embedded in a rubber material 9. An intermediate modulus of elasticity between those of the rubber material and the steel pipe is obtained as a whole, and a working bearing pressure can be increased. Quantity of usage of the rubber can be reduced, and the stress relaxation can be restricted. A vibration control device having a function equal to the conventional layered rubber can be obtained by embedding plural concentrical ring-like steel pipes (not shown in a figure in usually) in the rubber material. In this case, since the steel pipe is embedded in the rubber material and has a large elastic force, peeling thereof from the rubber material is prevented, and adhesion is secured.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform connection between rings and pieces with ease and high strength by shifting a web frame shift to both flange frames, and forming a connection mechanism comprising complementary recess part and bump part on the connection surface. SOLUTION: A cylindrical multi-split arcuate steel shell 10 is formed by covering with skin plates 5 and 6 the outside of a web frame 9 having a beam web of a segment piece formed into a polygonal frame. Next, connection is effected by taking the webs in the direction of thickness of the steel shell 10 as connection surfaces between the rings and the pieces. In these shield segments, two pieces of substantially the same contoured flange frames 7, 8 are disposed along both the sides thereof in the circumferential direction of the web frame 9. Then, the web frame 9 is integrally connected in shifting relation with respect to both flanges 7, 8, and a connection mechanism consisting of complementary recess part and bump part is formed on the connection surface. By connecting the connection mechanism, connection is made with ease between the rings and the pieces.
