摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ultrasonic flaw detecting method and apparatus discriminating the noise due to disturbance to enhance reliability and dispensing with a re-inspection process due to manual ultrasonic flaw detection. SOLUTION: In an automatic ultrasonic flaw detecting method of a plate- shaped object to be inspected by a pulse reflecting method, two probes are arranged on both surfaces of an object to be insepcted and, with respect to the signals from these surface and back probes, the positions in a plate thickness direction and the magnitudes of the signals are respectively compared to judge whether the signal sources of the signals from the surface and back probes are same to perform flaw detection. An automatic ultrasonic flaw detecting apparatus of the plate-shaped object to be inspected is equipped with probes 1,2, position calculating means 3 for calculating the positions of signal sources in a plate thickness direction, signal correcting means 4, position comparing means 5 for comparing the calculated positions, a signal comparing means 6 for comparing corrected signals, and a flaw judging means for judging whether the signal sources are a defect or noise on the basis of the comparison result.

During slow cooling, the diffusion of hydrogen in the steel is accelerated, and hydrogen is sent out of the surface of plate.

When the forward and rear end of the object 1 are deformed obliquely, the scanning mechanisms 12, 13 perform Y scanning. The number of mechanisms for touching/ separating the object 1 can be decreased by coupling adjacent heads through a ginbal mechanism, or the like.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily detect flaws present at a material surface layer part on line by a transmission method with use of surface waves of ultrasonic waves and, correctly estimate a depth of the surface defect. In receiving passing surface waves of respective frequencies by the ultrasonic probe 6 for reception, the waves are detected by a gate circuit 15 in accordance with respective arrival times, and furthermore, a transmission intensity of each frequency is obtained by peak hold circuit 16a, 16b, 16c and do forth. A depth of the defect is estimated from the transmission intensity by a depth-estimating part 18.
