    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce distortion generating in a steel plate and moreover to improve the precision of a stop temperature of the steel plate after cooling by symmetrizing a temperature distribution in the plate thickness direction of the upper and rear surfaces of the steel plate after leaving a cooling device. SOLUTION: A steel plate 4 is cooled by cooling water which is injected from spray nozzles 1 during it passes through between the spray nozzles 1 arranged in an upper surface and a rear surface. Also, restricting rolls 2, 3 are arranged in the upstream side and the downstream side of the spray nozzles 1, and cooling water is prevented from leaking out of the cooling device. The flow rate and temperature variation of a fluid which is injected on the upper surface of the steel plate 4 and the same on the rear surface of the same steel plate are separately measured, whereby the quantity of heat which is taken away from the upper surface of the steel plate 4 and the same from the rear surface of the same steel plate are separately obtained. Based on the obtained value, the flow rate of the fluid is adjusted so that the temperature distribution in the plate thickness direction of the steel plate after leaving the cooling device becomes symmetrical.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately bring cooling stopping temp. close to the target and to eliminate irregular cooling by executing water cooling defining a speed as at a fixed 1st transporting speed during the tip part of a steel plate is passed through a cooling device, as at the 2nd transporting speed which is the accelerated 1st transporting speed during the intermediate part is passed through it and as at the fixed 3rd speed which is continued to the 2nd transporting speed during the rear end part is passed through it. SOLUTION: The 1st transporting speed is determined from the previously detected temp. of the tip part and temp. drop caused by cooling in the cooling device, the 3rd transporting speed is determined from the temp. of the rear end part which is estimated from the temp. of the tip part and temp. drop caused by cooling in the cooling device and the 2nd transporting temp. is determined by gradually accelerating the 1st transporting speed and so as to become the 3rd transporting speed. The tip part comes into the cooling device at the time of zero, the 1st and 3rd transporting speeds are respectively taken as the fixed speeds of 0.435 and 0.5 m/s and the tip part comes out the cooling device after 23s. The time after the tip end part is passed through the outlet of the cooling device till the rear end part reaches the inlet of the cooling device is determined as X and acceleration is executed in this period.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of stably manufacturing online a steel plate the bar cutting distortion of which is small even though bar cutting is executed in the state of being cold and moreover which has homogeneous material quality over the whole steel plate. SOLUTION: After a thick steel plate 6 which is rolled with a finishing mill 1 is straightened into flatness with a hot straightening machine 2 so as to be suitable for being inserted into an accelerated cooling device 3, accelerated cooling is executed with the accelerated cooling device 3. The steel plate is cooled so that a temperature drop in the vicinity of the end part of the plate which is generated from a heating furnace to the completion of finish rolling is dissolved while being hot straightened in the forward stage part of the hot straightening machine 2 and moreover so that the temperature of the steel plate is not dropped to an Ar3 transformation point or below. In the backward stage part of the hot straightening machine 2, hot straightening is executed by being cooled in the open air so that the temperature of the both surfaces of the steel plate is recuperated in the position of the last leveling roll of the hot straightening machine 2 almost simultaneously with the completion of straightening. Thereafter, accelerated cooling is executed under a uniform cooling condition in the width direction to manufacture the steel plate.
