    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel excavator which is improved in workability and safety of cutter replacing work and in reliability on excavation by cutters replaced for a plurality of times, and simplified in structure, and to provide a method of replacing a cutter of the tunnel excavator. SOLUTION: The tunnel excavator is formed of a cylindrical excavator main body 11; a propelling jack for propelling the excavator main body; a cutter head 12 including a cylindrical support cylinder 16 rotatably mounted on the front of the excavator main body, and four cutter spokes 17 radially extending from an outer peripheral surface of the support cylinder 16; disk cutters 22 and dummy cutters 22a movably supported on the cutter spokes; a rotary cylinder 40 circumferentially rotatably supported in the support cylinder, and having communication ports 43 communicating between the support cylinder and the cutter spokes, respectively; gates 44a, 44b for openably closing the communication ports formed in the rotary cylinder; and a rod grip device 60 for repeatedly gripping various types of rods 23 to 26 connected to the disk cutters 22 and the dummy cutters 22a, to thereby draw the cutters into or protrude the cutters from the rotary cylinder.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel widening method which enables a tunnel to be partially widened in a safe and economical manner in a short construction period, and a widening segment for use in the tunnel widening method.
      SOLUTION: The widening segment 3, in which a cutter head and a cutter driving part therefor are built, is assembled as a part of a segment ring 1 on the inner wall surface G of the tunnel; an excavating jack 10 for driving the cutter head is installed in the cutter driving part; an extruding jack 12 for extruding the cutter head, is installed in the widening segment; the cutter head is extruded in the outward direction of the tunnel from the widening segment for each cutter driving part by means of the extruding jack, while being operated by the excavating jack; a sliding jack 18 for sliding the widening segment is installed in the segment ring 1; the tunnel is partially widened by sliding the widening segment in the outward direction of the tunnel by means of the sliding jack while operating the cutter head by means of the excavating jack; and the various jacks are removed after the tunnel is widened.

SOLUTION: This actuator driving device drives the actuator for changing a vane angle of a nozzle vane by rotating the nozzle vane of a variable displacement turbine by the hydraulic fluid supplied and discharged via an actuator control valve, and is characterized by arranging a booster in a hydraulic fluid inlet oil passage of the actuator control valve for supplying the hydraulic fluid to the actuator via a hydraulic fluid supply passage by generating the hydraulic fluid by boosting lubricating oil by introducing the lubricating oil in a main gallery via a hydraulic fluid introducing passage connected to the main gallery of the engine.
