SOLUTION: A telescopic jack 24 is laid between a front drum 11 and a rear drum 12 connected to each other to be freely bent through a seal mechanism 13, a cutter head 14 is provided on the front of the front drum 11, a front gripper 35 pressed to the inner wall surface of the existing tunnel to hold the front drum in position, and on the other hand, the rear drum 12 is provided with eight small-sized rear grippers 37 disposed along the peripheral direction and pressed to the inner wall surface of the existing tunnel to hold the rear drum 11 in position.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the excavation efficiency by providing a rotary body provided with a plurality of rows of disk cutters which is of drum shape as an excavation part and rotated around the axis orthogonal to the one extending in the longitudinal direction of a boom on a tip of the boom to allow the excavation of a large area at one time. SOLUTION: A boom 20 comprises an oscillation part 21 which is oscillated in the vertical and right-to-left direction around one point by hydraulic cylinders 22, 24, and an expansion part 23 which is partly penetrated into the oscillation part 21 and whose projection length is changed. Two drum-shaped rotary bodies 32 equipped with a plurality of rows of disk cutters 34 are arranged on a circumferential surface 32a of a tip of the expansion part 23 across the boom 20. When excavation is achieved by the disk cutters 34 by vertically oscillating the boom 20, the reaction to the propulsion of the disk cutters 34 can be canceled by the self weight of a front support 14, a rear support 16, a gripper 18 and an excavator 10, and because the reaction is applied orthogonal to the axis of rotation of the rotary body 32, it is difficult to affect the rotation of the rotary body 32. The rotary body 32 is drum-shaped, wide in the circumferential surface 32a, enabling the excavation with large width.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the quantity of excavated earth precisely on real time by connecting a measuring pipe supported at two point through a flexible joint in a pipe for transferring excavated earth and sand and measuring strain due to the excavated earth and sand. SOLUTION: Earth and sand excavated by a shield excavator is discharged from within a chamber and passed through a transfer pipe so as to be carried out onto the ground. An electromagnetic flowmeter is provided in the transfer pipe to measure the flow rate Q of earth and sand. A measuring device for measuring physical quantity in pipe is mounted in the pipe. The opposite ends of a measuring pipe 32 are supported on a pair of supporting bases 36. The pipe 32 is deflected downward corresponding to gravitation and weight of earth and sand in the pipe. The strain of the pipe is measured by a strain gage 34, whereby density and weight of the earth and sand transferred through the pipe 32 can be measured on real time.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a discharged earth-and-sand amount with high accuracy by a method wherein information regarding the filling degree of earth and sand to be filled into an earth-and-sand force-feed pipe is detected and the flow rate of the earth and sand is found on the basis of the information. SOLUTION: Information regarding the filling degree of earth and sand to be filled into a force-feed pipe which force-feeds earth and sand escavated by a shield excavator is detected by a detection means 10, and a flow-rate detection means 20 computes the flow rate of the earth and sand on the basis of the information. A force-feed-time measuring part 30 measures the force-feed time of one piston operation of a force-feed pump. A flow-velocity detection means 40 detects the flow velocity of the earth and sand inside the force-feed pipe, and a density detection means 60 measures the density of earth and sand discharged by the force-feed pump. On the basis of respective measured results, a volume computing part 50 and a weight computing part 70 compute the volume and the weight of the discharged earth and sand, and respective computed results are displayed or printed on a display part 80 or a printer 82. By this method, even when a gap or the like id generated inside the force-feed pipe, it can be compensated by the filling degree, and a flow-rate value can be measured precisely.
