    • PURPOSE: To obtain a foam product whose appearance is favorable by shortening a molding cycle, by combining both a pressure-thermoforming method and compression fill-out molding method.
      CONSTITUTION: After polyolefin particles containing an inorganic filler, which is made to soak with water, has been heated and pressed, foamed particles obtained by releasing the polyolefin particles into the open air through the inside of an autoclave along with water are compressed by pressure gas, which are filled out into a cavity pressurized at 1W10kg/cm
      2 G, then breathing is performed after closing of a filling gun under a state wherein the foamed particles are being compressed and gaps among the particles are filled up by making use of restoring force. As for the foamed particles filled up by making use of restoring force. As for the foamed particles filled up a mold, they are made into a foam product which is faithful to the cavity by a method wherein the foamed particles are made to heat and fuse each other by leading vapor within the cavity and then cooled. A polyolefin shaped foam obtained in this manner is an article whose bulk density is 18W70g/l, appearance is favorable and inner part of the foam scarcely possesses shrinkage voids and gaps.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the bond strength and enable the manufacture of a nice- looking product by a method wherein a resin skin material is coveringly bonded by covering the edge of a foam molded body with the hem part, which is folded back inwards, of the resin skin material. CONSTITUTION:A resin skin material 30, the hem part 31 of which is folded back inwards, is provisionally and affixedly fixed to the cavity wall of a female mold 10. Only the putting of the interior of a chamber 11 under reduced pressure by utilizing an airing pipe 15 is enough for the previously fixing of the skin material 30. After both female and male molds 10 and 20 are clamped under the condition that the hem part 31 of the skin material is faced to a part of the molding surface of the male mold 20, prefoamed resin particles are filled in a cavity so as to be foamed under heat by introducing steam from steam pipes 13 and 23 in the chambers 11 and 21 in order to form a foam molded body 40 through the fusion bonding of the particles mutually. Simultaneously, the resin skin material 30 is bonded under heat to one side of the foam molded body 40 under the condition that the hem part 31 of the skin material covers the edge 41 of the foam molded body 40. Thus, a skinned foam molded item excellent in bond strength can be manufactured.
