摘要： A process for emulsion-polymerizing unsaturated monomer(s) is disclosed. When a hydrazine derivative having at least two hydrazine residues per molecule is added to the polymer dispersion obtained by said emulsion polymerization process, a polymer dispersion composition capable of forming a film which is excellent in blocking resistance, adhesiveness to an alkyd resin film, water-resistant adhesiveness to an alkyd resin film and water-resistant anti-whitening can be obtained.

摘要： A process for producing an aqueous copolymer dispersion is disclosed, which comprises emulsion polymerizing 100 parts by weight of a vinyl monomer mixture comprising (A) from 60 to 99.8% by weight of an acrylic ester of an aliphatic saturated alcohol having from 4 to 8 carbon atoms, (B) from 0.2 to 10% by weight of a monomer selected from the group consisting of an alpha , beta -unsaturated carboxylic acid, an alpha , beta -unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride, a 2-hydroxyalkyl acrylate, a 2-hydroxyalkyl methacrylate, acrylamide, methacrylamide, methylolacrylamide, and methylolmethacrylamide, and (C) up to 30% by weight of a vinyl monomer other than the monomers (A) and (B) in the presence of from 0.01 to 10 parts by weight of a compound having an allyl hydrogen atom, with a total amount of the monomers (A), (B) and (C) being 100% by weight. The resulting aqueous copolymer dispersion can form a film which exhibits excellent adhesion performance particularly to an adherend having small polarity and gives off no smell.

摘要： A method of molding pre-foamed synthetic resin particles is described, which comprises increasing the pressure in a mold cavity with a pressurized gas, charging the mold cavity with pre-foamed synthetic resin particles as they are compressed with a gas pressurized to a pressure higher than the pressure in the mold cavity and heating the charged pre-foamed synthetic resin particles with steam so that they are fused together or expanded and fused together to form a foamed molded article, wherein a pressure detector is provided in a conduit for conveying the pre-foamed synthetic resin particles into the mold cavity as they are carried by the pressurized gas or at an inlet portion of a charging port leading to the mold cavity, and the supply of pre-foamed synthetic resin particles into the mold cavity is stopped when the pressure detected by the detector exceeds the pressure in the mold cavity by a predetermined amount. A blow-filing gun apparatus suitable for use in the practice of the molding method is also described.

摘要： A process for producing a carpet is disclosed, comprising laminating a backing material composition comprising 100 parts by weight, on a resin solid basis, of an aqueous emulsion of a resin having a glass transition point of not higher than 5 DEG C, from 120 to 400 parts by weight of hydraulic inorganic cement, and up to 600 parts by weight of a non-hydraulic inorganic filler on a carpeting surface base material and heating the laminate to harden and dry the backing material composition. A carpet in which a carpeting surface base material and a backing material (and a carpeting back base material, if used) are firmly and integrally bonded can easily be obtained. The carpet has excellent properties, such as flexibility (softness), dimensional stability (resistance to shrinkage), fit to a floor, and workability, in a good balance. Where a carpeting surface base material previously coated with a coating composition comprising a specific aqueous resin emulsion is used, a higher temperature can be applied in hardening and drying, which leads to increased productivity, and the resulting carpet has excellent pull strength of pile.

摘要： Foamed particles of a propylene resin are described which comprises, as a base resin, a random copolymer of propylene and 1-butene, said random copolymer having a 1-butene content of from 3 to 12% by weight. A foamed mold article is also described which is composed of a random copolymer of propylene and 1-butene, and having a density of from 0.015 to 0.09 g/cm . A bumper core material for use in automobile bumpers is also described which is composed of a foamed mold article of a random copolymer of propylene and 1-butene, said random copolymer having a 1-butene content of from 3 to 12% by weight, said foamed mold article having a density of from 0.02 to 0.08 g/cm , a compression stress at 50% compression as measured at 20 DEG C of 2.5 to 10 kg/cm , and an energy absorption efficiency as measured at 20 DEG C of 60 to 90%, the ratio (E80/E20) of the amount of the energy absorption of said foamed mold article as measured at 80 DEG C (E80) to the amount of the energy absorption of said foamed mold article as measured at 20 DEG C (E20) being 0.5 to 0.9.
