摘要： The invention relates to a method for investigating the surface of an object for a topographical and/or chemical characteristic. According to said method, the surface of the object is subjected to the action of surface structure selective (for investigating a topographical characteristic) and/or chemoselective (for investigating a chemical characteristic) biocomponents and a nutrient- or osmotic protective medium in such a way that the biocomponents in the nutrient- or osmotic protective medium are in contact with the object surface or are at a distance from the object surface which is within their range of detection. The object surface is then investigated using the biocomponents in the nutrient- or osmotic protective medium and at least one investigation measuring value is determined. The investigation measuring value is then compared to a reference measuring value and the result of this comparison is used to draw conclusions as to the topographical and/or chemical characteristics of the object. The invention provides a simple, very precise method for investigating the surface of an object for a topographical and/or chemical characteristic.

In this position, said separating element delimits a sub-chamber which has a reduced volume (8) in relation to the total receiving volume of the receptacle. In addition, at least one flow channel (9) is provided, which on one side adjoins the reduced-volume sub-chamber (8) and on the other adjoins a reservoir chamber (14). The aim of the invention is to allow for an air bubble-free measurement in reaction chambers so as to monitor changes and states therein without using any degassing process. Biocomponents and nutrient or osmotic protection are applied. Measurements are taken at intervals. At least one evaluation is made optically, as an image, which is compared with a reference image. An interferometric pattern generated when recording the image, is compared with an interferometric reference image. Measurements are taken with an electrical or electrochemical sensor. The biocomponents include growth-, structure- or function-moderating materials, acting on the object surface. The nutrient or osmotic protection and biocomponents are removed after testing the surface. In a similar method, the surface is altered as the principal objective, without necessarily taking any measurements.
