摘要： An insertion tool, systems, and methods for use with lacrimal implants are herein provided. An insertion tool is disclosed that includes an inserter tip with a static pin at a distal end configured to be placed in a bore of a lacrimal implant and a mechanical coupling to receive a handle at a proximal end of the inserter tip; and, a handle coupled to the inserter tip at a distal end of the handle and a plunger at a proximal end of the handle, wherein the plunger is configured to release the inserter tip from the handle. The static pin of the inserter tip is de-coupled from the lacrimal implant after placement in a lacrimal canaliculus without mechanical force from the insertion tool.

摘要： Methods and compositions are provided for reducing the level of expression of a target polynucleotide in an organism. The methods and compositions selectively silence the target polynucleotide through the expression of a chimeric polynucleotide comprising the target for a sRNA (the trigger sequence) operably linked to a sequence corresponding to all or part of the gene or genes to be silenced. In this manner, the final target of silencing is an endogenous gene in the organism in which the chimeric polynucleotide is expressed. In a further embodiment, the miRNA target is that of a heterologous miRNA or siRNA, the latter of which is coexpressed in the cells at the appropriate developmental stage to provide silencing of the final target when and where desired. In a further embodiment, the final target may be a gene in a second organism, such as a plant pest, that feeds upon the organism containing the chimeric gene or genes. Compositions further comprise vectors, seeds, grain, cells, and organisms, including plants and plant cells, comprising the chimeric polynucleotide of the invention.

摘要： The invention is an interface device and system for establishing an operating interface between an injector device and diagnostic imaging equipment. In one embodiment, the interface device may permit an operator to concurrently operate and control the injector device and the imaging equipment. The interface device may permit the injector system and the imaging system to communicate information regarding their current and future operational status with each other. The interface device may be used to synchronize the operation of the imaging equipment and the injector device. In one embodiment, the injector device and the imaging equipment may be able to communicate with each other directly or through the interface device via a communications protocol comprising binary logic signals. The binary logic signals may comprise one or more of a low strength signal, a high strength signal, an oscillating signal that oscillates between low and high signal strength, and combinations thereof.

Information is abstracted for use in link analysis by generating links between the collected data points, including deriving links and inducing links. A link can be induced by linking together a pair of nodes that satisfy a distance function. Exemplary distance functions that can be used to induce links include geospatial proximity, attribute nearness, and name similarity. The dataset can be augmented with pedigree information or one or more association nodes. 摘要： A nasal drug delivery system (100) for delivering a predetermined amount of medication to the nasal epithelia. The system includes a container (110) containing a substance to be delivered into the nasal passages of a user, a nasal shaft (108) extending from the drug delivery system for placement in or around the nose of user, the nasal shaft being in fluid communication with a valve (124) of the container, and an oral shaft (106) , extending from the drug delivery system for placement in the mouth of a user. The nasal drug delivery system also comprises a pressure activated diaphragm trigger (114, 116, 118, 120) wherein application of pressure to the oral shaft triggers the release of a predetermined amount of a substance from the container to the nasal shaft . In use, a user inserts the oral shaft into his mouth and inserts the nasal shaft into or around his nose. Pressurizing the oral shaft which activates the trigger, results in releasing a predetermined amount of medicament from the container into the nasal shaft and into the nasal passage of the user.
