    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soundproof structure and a soundproof construction of a steel girder bridge, which enable drainage in rainfall, which do not cause a deterioration in an acoustical insulation board and rust development, which can avoid an influence of an increase in weight, which can cope with noises at a wide range of frequencies, and which can exert an effect on insulation against a noise source below the steel girder bridge.
      SOLUTION: This soundproof structure 1, which can be arranged between steel girders juxtaposed in parallel so as to constitute the steel girder bridge, has a basic structure in which sound absorbing layers (upper and lower sound absorbing layers 31 and 32) composed of a sound absorbing material such as a porous plate and a fibrous mat are interposed on and under a sound insulating board 2 composed of a metal plate etc. In the characteristic structure, the sound insulating board 2 is provided with drainage channels 21 and 22 which are opened upward from one end to the other one, so that rainwater received by the top surface of the soundproof structure 1 can be discharged to the outside; and a sound-absorbing air space 4 is provided in parallel with the drainage channels 21 and 22 between the sound insulating board 2 and the lower sound absorbing layer 32.
