摘要： A processing apparatus is utilized for a copying machine capable of executing successively a first job and then a second job. An user inputs the number of originals, the number of copies to be made, or the like using a picture plane for setting the first job. Based on information about the input numbers of originals and copies, and information about a copying operation that can be carried out by the copying machine, the number of originals and the number of copies that can be set for the second job are determined. The determined numbers of originals and copies are displayed. Accordingly, the number of originals and the number of copies which exceed a limitation of processing by the copying machine would not be input, thereby improving handling of the apparatus.

摘要： The preset invention relates to a sheet conveying apparatus equipped with a tray which couples feed port and discharge port to each other by a continuous surface. The tray comprises a first surface adjacent to the feed port for placing thereon sheets to be fed, a second surface adjacent to the discharge port for placing thereon discharged sheets, the second surface being tilted up so that the front end of the discharged sheet is positioned upper than the rear end thereof, and a bent portion at which the end of the first surface at the discharge side and the end of the second surface at the feed side are coupled to each other. A length of the first surface ranging from the bent portion to the feed port in the sheet conveyance direction is larger than one half of the length of a feedable maximum size sheet in the sheet conveyance direction. A length of the second surface ranging from the discharge port to the bent portion in the sheet conveyance direction is larger than one half of the length of a feedable minimum size sheet in the sheet conveyance direction.

摘要： A method and apparatus that detects a multiplicity of normal data sets, each of which includes values of n parameters, for each of the operation modes of an object having a plurality of operation modes. Self-organizing maps are provided for each operation mode using the normal data sets. Abnormal data sets representing virtual abnormal states are created by modifying the values of the n parameters of each of the multiple normal data sets so that as many abnormal data sets as the number of deviation vectors are created for each of the multiple normal data sets. Abnormal operation mode proportion vectors are then created by selecting a self-organizing map from the above noted self-organizing maps which has the highest similarity degree to each of the abnormal data sets.
