    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method capable of easily measuring engine oil consumption. SOLUTION: The oil consumption measuring method includes a step of measuring a concentration S0 of sulfur dioxide included in exhaust gas by using a sulfur dioxide detection tube, a step of supplying mixed fuel comprised by mixing engine oil in fuel and measuring a concentration S1 of the sulfur dioxide included in the exhaust gas by using the sulfur dioxide detection tube, and a calculation process of calculating oil consumption on the basis of an equation (1) of consumption=ä(S0-g)/(S1-S0+g)}×G×R and an equation (2) of g=(S1-S0)/(α-1). Wherein, G is an amount of used mixed fuel, R is a mixing ratio of the engine oil in the mixed fuel, g is a concentration of the sulfur dioxide generated by combustion of the fuel, and α is (a concentration of the sulfur dioxide generated by combustion of the mixed fuel) divided by (a concentration of the sulfur dioxide generated by combustion of the fuel).
