    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analyzer capable of accurately measuring VOC by a simple method.
      SOLUTION: The analyzer 1 has a combustion device 10 and a detection pipe 30, and the gas to be detected of a bag 2 is drawn out in a predetermined amount by a suction device 5 to be sent to the combustion device 10. The combustion device 10 has a combustion catalyst and the VOC of the gas to be detected is brought into contact with the combustion catalyst to be pyrolyzed to become carbon dioxide and water. The gas to be detected is further sent to the detection pipe 30. The detection pipe 30 has a color agent containing alkali and a pH indicator, and the carbon dioxide of the gas to be detected is reacted with alkali on the surface of a carrier and the pH of the surface of the carrier lowers to discolor the pH indicator. The position of the discoloration boundary of the pH indicator is compared with graduations to calculate the amount of VOC contained in the gas to be detected as the total amount of carbon.
