    • A point-to-multipoint communication system is presented to enable a reliable, high quality communication using multiplexed optical signals between a central office equipment and a plurality of subscriber's equipment. The system is provided with a plurality of office transceivers in the central office equipment, and the each of the subscribers is provided with at least one subscriber transceiver. The system is designed so that a redundancy system is built-in by providing one of either the office transceivers, a plurality of subscriber's transceivers or the optical connection device, to connect the two sets of transceivers at all times. One of these redundancy systems provides an operating connection between each of the office transmitters which are connected to the office transceivers and each of the subscriber transmitters which are connected to the subscriber transceivers. Therefore, when a malfunction occurs somewhere in the optical network, the least number of the malfunctioning components need to be switched over the the normally functioning system to maintain continued communication services. The present communication system is designed with the least number of active components, therefore, the failure probability is significantly decreased, and repairs if necessary can be preformed quickly. The overall effect of the present system is that interactive point-to-multipoint communication services of high quality and reliability are provided at reasonable cost.

    • A self-excited inverter circuit primarily includes a main transformer two switching elements e.g. the first and second (FET) switching elements, wherein capacitors at both ends of said first FET are charged during a time T.sub.1 -T.sub.2 when said first FET is turned off, and the voltage V.sub.g1 across said first FET is clamped by a charge voltage V.sub.c1 and then, a voltage V.sub.gs is applied across the gate and the source of said second FET for electrical continuity to cause the voltage to be clamped. The clamped state is maintained from T.sub.1 to T.sub.2, the saturation reactor is saturated at time T.sub.3, and V.sub.gs, which has been negative, starts to change toward O, thereby causing the first FET to change to ON; V.sub.q falls towards VPi at TP3 and further towards zero point. Thus, the voltage V.sub.q2 changes to zero to cause V.sub.gs of the second FET to become zero and the second FET to be shut off. When said voltage V.sub.q2 is clamped to a fixed value, a high -V.sub.sc (L) can be obtained in the case of Vi(L), whereas a low -V.sub.sc can be obtained in the case of Vi(H); and the continuity angle, or duty cycle, (T.sub.1 -T.sub.2)/(T.sub.1 -T.sub.3) of the first FET is naturally controlled to be kept in a desirable direction.

    • One aspect of the present invention can include a vehicular seat including a reclining apparatus capable of adjusting an angle of a seat back relative to a seat cushion, a tilt down mechanism capable of moving the seat cushion in a lower direction toward a vehicular floor when the seat back is moved onto the seat cushion, a walk in mechanism capable of positioning the seat back relative to the seat cushion at a forward tilting angle, a base member provided on a side of the vehicular floor, a middle member provided between the base member and the seat back. Also, a lower portion of the middle member and the base member are connected to be able to adjust an angle therebetween by the reclining apparatus, an upper portion of the middle member and the seat back are connected by a connecting apparatus of the walk in mechanism, the walk in mechanism includes a stopper apparatus for positioning the seat back at a normal angle and a forward tilting angle which is forward from the normal angle relative to the middle member, and the tilt down mechanism moves the seat cushion in the lower direction toward the vehicular floor relative to the base member cooperatively with tilting the middle member relative to the base member.
