Instead of the usual press-fit cup for closing the opening of the reservoir, a flat or convex cover plate is fixed to the housing for closing the opening in the reservoir.

摘要： A video display apparatus generates luminance information for individual frames of a video signal from histograms of the luminance component of the video signal, and classifies the content of the video signal on the basis of this information. Color saturation information is also generated from color saturation histograms, and scene changes are detected. Video correction parameters and display control parameters are derived from the content classification and color saturation information. The video signal is corrected according to the video correction parameters, and displayed according to the display control parameters. Display characteristics suitable for the video content are thereby obtained. The parameters are changed when a scene change is detected, so that the viewer is not disturbed by the change in video display characteristics.

摘要： A two-dimensional infrared focal plane array of temperature detecting units is provided with the temperature detecting units being arranged for every pixel in a two-dimensional arrangement on a semiconductor substrate. Each temperature detecting unit is formed integrally with readout circuitry. Each temperature detecting unit further has a temperature detecting portion which is supported by support legs made of a high thermal resistance material to reduce heat flow to the semiconductor substrate. 摘要： A magneto-optic recording medium has a cartridge provided with a magnetization direction indicating portion for indicating the direction of magnetization of a second magnetic layer. Alternatively, the direction of magnetization of the second magnetic layer is recorded in advance in the first magnetic layer. The direction of magnetization of the second magnetic layer indicated or recorded is detected and recognized. A magnetic field oriented in an opposite direction to the direction of magnetization detected is imparted to the magneto-optic recording medium. Alternatively, predetermined information is recorded in the first magnetic layer, the direction of magnetization of the second magnetic layer is detected on the basis of a signal reproducing that information, and the direction of a magnetic field to be applied to the magneto-optic recording medium is set on the basis of the direction of magnetization thus detected. In addition, the direction of the magnetic field to be applied to the magneto-optic recording medium is set and the output of a light beam is changed on the basis of the direction of the second magnetic layer detected.
