    • Angle data ranging from 0° to 360° obtained by performing polar conversion with respect to a periodic signal are input to a low pass filter having: a phase accumulator for outputting smoothed angle data; a phase comparator for obtaining a phase error between the angle data and the smoothed angle data; a first amplifier for amplifying the phase error; a second amplifier for further amplifying the phase error; an integrator for integrating the phase error PE amplified by the second amplifier to obtain a velocity error; and an adder for adding the phase error amplified by the first amplifier and the velocity error to determine a control voltage. The phase accumulator controls the frequency of the smoothed angle data so that the phase error is zero based on the control voltage to remove a high frequency component in the angle data.

    • A method and an apparatus for vertically calibrating a wire of a wire cutting electric discharge machine are provided. The vertical calibration apparatus includes a body, an upper calibration board and a lower calibration board attached to the body and parallel to a machine table, with a circular hole formed through the upper calibration board and on the lower calibration board respectively. The two circular holes are coaxial and have different diameters. The method of wire vertical calibration includes searching for the circle centers of the two circular holes by contacting the circles several times with the wire in a prescribed manner, then passing the wire through the circle centers. The method and apparatus allow wire vertical calibration to be more easily and accurately performed.

    • The present invention relates to a method and a circuit arrangement for processing signals for an active motion sensor which generates at least one first sequence of input pulses that contain motion information. By at least one integrating filter circuit, each input pulse of a pulse train is integrated, and an associated output pulse is generated during a period in which the integrated signal is in excess of a predeterminable second threshold value after a predeterminable first threshold value has been exceeded so that the output pulse has a time delay with respect to the input pulse. As a result, noises of a duration which is shorter than the delay time are effectively suppressed.
