    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction stir welding apparatus which can improve bonding strength of a bonded member. SOLUTION: During friction stir welding, when a minute shifting means 123 applies a shifting force on an object 17 to be bonded to move it in the Y direction, an articulated robot 100 supporting a base body 21 is deflected by a reaction force given by the object 17 to be bonded, and then the object 17 to be bonded shifts relatively to the base body 21 in the Y direction. As the welding tool 22 shifts in the Y direction together with the base body 21, a bonding zone formed on the object 17 to be bonded can be expanded in the Y direction. Thus, regardless of a size of the welding tool 22, the bonding zone can be expanded to the action direction of the minute shifting means so that the bonding strength of the bonded object 17 can be improved.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress meandering of wire in a wire supply path between a wire supply means and a contact tip and accordingly stably supply the wire to a laser irradiation point.
SOLUTION: A laser brazing device continuously delivers the wire 12 supplied from a wire supply machine through a guide tube to the irradiation point of a laser beam on a workpiece through the contact tip and fuses the delivery end of the wire 12 by the laser beam. A chuck unit 20 as a meandering suppressing means, which constrains the wire 12 in a radial direction and suppresses the meandering of the wire 12 in the guide tube, is provided at the front step of the contact tip. The chuck unit 20 is configured to have a taper collet 27 which is always urged by a spring 29 and generates fastening force to the wire 12. When the wire 12 is supplied, the taper collet 27 is slightly retreated from a fastening position corresponding to the movement of the wire 12 to allow the free movement of the wire 12.
