    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weld structure and a welding method, by which weld strength and weld quality are improved.SOLUTION: The weld structure includes a ring gear 10 having a gear joint-part 11 and a differential case 30 having a case joint-part 31 to be joined with the gear joint-part 11. The ring gear 10 and the differential case 30 are joined by a press-fitting part 20 where the gear joint-part 11 and the case joint-part 31 are engaged with each other by press-fitting and also joined by a first and a second weld parts 51, 52 where welding is performed between a gear-side weld surface 12 of the gear joint-part 11 and a case-side weld surface 32 of the case joint-part 31. In the weld structure, weld parts 50 are arranged at least on both sides thereof sandwiching the press-fitting part 20 in a second direction AX orthogonal to the alignment direction of the gear joint-part 11 and the case joint-part 31. Before welding is performed, a gap 25 having a given distance x is formed between the gear-side weld surface 12 and the case-side weld surface 32.
