    • The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus which reproduce a digital terrain model (DTM) from contour data with geomorphological consistency and natural features including fine folds. An initial DTM ho is produced (step 101), and set ho as an initial value (step 102). Then the operator T which smooths the elevational values along flowing water lines or the neighborhood of the lines is operated on the DTM h (step 103), further the operator B which sets the boundary values by substituting the contour data is operated on the DTM h (step 104). The number n of operating times of the steps 103 and 104 is checked (step 105). If n is less than preset number nmax, return to the step 103 and if n reaches nmax, go to the step 106 and the DTM h is output.

    • A flow cell apparatus, useful in an apparatus for measuring particles suspended in a liquid, comprises a sample liquid, supply device, a sheath liquid supply device, a flow cell which has a flow passage passing through a transparent measuring portion, and a nozzle for causing the sample liquid, from the supply device to flow in the flow passage of the flow cell. The nozzle has at least one discharge port which is disposed in the flow passage in a spaced relation from the inner wall of the flow cell flow passage. The sheath liquid supply device causes the sheath liquid to flow around the nozzle discharge port and surround the sample liquid flow to form a sheath flow. The flow passage of the flow cell and the nozzle are so formed as to ensure a sample liquid flow of a fixed width through the measuring portion. A stable sample flow having a fixed width can be formed in the measuring portion even when the flow is at a high velocity, and particles in the sample liquid can efficiently be photographed with high accuracy.

    • A multichannel transmitter incorporating a phase-locked loop frequency synthesizer to generate a carrier signal of a selected radio frequency, which carrier is subsequently amplified, modulated, and radiated into space. In order to prevent abnormal radiation which would take place as when the PLL frequency synthesizer is switched from one transmission channel to another, a transmission stopper circuit is connected to the output of the phase comparator or detector of the synthesizer so as to be actuated thereby when the desired phase or frequency lock is not established in the synthesizer. When actuated, the transmission stopper circuit prevents the wave radiation of the transmitter, as by causing nonconduction through a transistor provided therein. The invention is disclosed as adapted for a transceiver.

A suiting region (between an upper bound function M+(xi) and a lower bound function M−(xi)) is set based on the input data with the spread of errors. An inequality system is established with respect to the suiting region and the suiting function having undetermined parameters. A distance from a boundary of a solution region of the parameter values, corresponding to a boundary of the suiting region, is set, and a suiting function f(x) which has the parameter values maximizing the distance, is found. A broken line exhibits a suiting function f′(x) having low robustness, and a solid line exhibits a most-robust suiting function f(x) obtained from an application of this invention.
