    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional cutter for cutting a hard wall wherein, when the cutter is used for the outermost circumference of a cutter disk, vibration and noise occur in the cutter disk and a shield body due to friction produced by a contact of the outer circumference of the cutter with a cutting surface. SOLUTION: This cutter is provided in the outermost circumference part of the cutter dirk 1 turning in the front part of the shield machine and formed with prescribed height blade parts 12 and 13 in the cutting outer circumference part of the cutter disk 1. This outermost circumference cutter 8 for the hard wall is provided with a cutting tip 11 which has a vertical rake angle o formed in the turning direction of the cutter disk 1 from the blade parts 12 and 13 to the shield body side, a horizontal rake angle p formed rearward in the turning direction of the cutter disk 1, a vertical clearance angle q formed from the cutting front surface of the cutter disk 1 to the shield body side, and a horizontal clearance angle r formed rearward in the turning direction of the cutter disk 1 so as to efficiently excavate the excavation outermost circumference.     • PURPOSE:To expedite works for connection of segments by a method wherein a slide-driving means is provided to each of arms of an automatic bolt.nut fastening device that is equipped with each one pair of arms and sockets, and a bolt-pinching means is provided to one of the two arms. CONSTITUTION:Contact surfaces X for connection of segments S1 and S2 are placed butting each other with an erector of a tunnel boring machine, and arms 5, 6, with nuts N placed in sockets 7, 8 thereof, of a segment-connecting device (a) are brought near to the segments, and are inserted into the front end parts ts1, ts2 of the segments. A bolt B1 is then fed by sliding into an insert hole V while being pinched and released with a bolt-pinching means 40. The arms 5, 6 are then brought near each other by operation of a slide-driving means 30, and as a motor 8a starts, the sockets 7, 8 are turned, making the nuts to be screwed down to threaded portions of the bolts B1. After this, the arms 5, 6 are separated each other and the new nuts N are fitted into the sockets 7, 8 for screwing to the bolt B2.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the term of work by concentrically installing a drum supported by a guide beam to a shield frame, symmetrically disposing erectors before and behind the drum and forming double erectors. CONSTITUTION:With a rear erector 6, a segment S is received by a segment gripper 17, a turning wheel 7 is turned to the right by a motor 9, and the segment S is carried up to the right side of a tunnel. An expansion jack 13 and a sliding jack 16A are operated and the segment S is positioned, the posture of the segment S is controlled, and the segment S is incorporated into an existing segment S'. The erector 6 is turned up to an upper section again, and the segment S is received and incorporated in the upper section. With a front erector 6A, a lifting beam 14A is positioned at a lower section, and the segment S is gripped by a segment gripper 17A and assembled to the segment S' in the lower section of the tunnel. The gripper 17A is turned upward again, the segment S is received, the turning wheel is turned to the left and the segment S is carried up to the left side of the tunnel, and the segment S is assembled.
