    • PURPOSE:To simple carry out a large-scale purification at a low cost by laying purifying banks each of which is filled with water-permeable filtering materials, in order to partition a closed water area such as a lake, a pond, a gulf or the like, into purifying sections and a main water area section, and by pumping up water into the purifying sections from the main water area section so that thus pump-up water are fed into the main water area section through the purifying banks. CONSTITUTION:A closed water area 1 is partitioned into purifying section 4 and a main water area section 5 by purifying banks 3 filled therein filtering materials such as rubles, shells, artificial filtering materials or the like. Then, a reversible water pump 6 is disposed in a pipe line 7 which communicates between each of the purifying sections 4 and the main water area section 5, and is connected thereto with a drain pipe line 8 and a riser pipe line 9. Then, the pump 6 is normally rotated so as to pump up water from the main water area section 5 into the purifying section 4 so that the water passes through the purifying bank 3 in order to be subjected to a purifying process including filtering action, contact oxidation and the like, and is then returned into the main water area section. When the filtering materials 2 have been fully contaminated, the water feed pump 6 is reversed so that the water is pumped from the purifying section 4 and is discharged through the drain pipe line 8, and accordingly, the water counterflows from the main water area 5 into the purifying section 4 through the purifying bank 3, and simultaneously, the purifying bank 3 is blown for clearing by an air feed means 13.

    • PURPOSE:To remarkably improve dephosphorizing and denitrifying actions and to reduce the cost of equipment by agitating sewage while introducing it and thereafter performing batch type sewage treatment wherein aeration treatment is performed under control of the concn. of dissolved oxygen. CONSTITUTION:After agitating sewage while introducing it, the following batch type sewage treatment is performed wherein the concn. of dissolved oxygen (DO) is controlled at 2-3ppm and aeration treatment is performed. In this case, it is preferable that precipitation and discharge of treated water are performed after the combination of both introduction of sewage, agitation and aeration is repeated at two or more times. Further a sewage storage equipment of a front stage and a pumping equipment for introducing sewage can be made small by continuously introducing sewage at an anaerobic time divided into several times. Furthermore, since DO control can be performed by intermittent operation of a blower, the operation time of the blower is shortened and energy saving can be contrived.

    • PURPOSE:To simply facilitate the purification of a sea area by providing a downward flow rubble purifying facility on the inner side of either an artificial lagoon communicated at its both ends with the open sea or an automatic shut-off gate laid between the open sea and an inland sea so as to allow sea water to path through the facility from the open sea utilizing the range of tide. CONSTITUTION:Three is provided a downward flow type rubble purifying facility 6 in which a filtering material 5 is filled on the inside of a first one 3 of gates which are laid at the boundary of the open sea and which are automatically opened in accordance with the level of sea water that varies depending upon the ebb and flow. Next, upon a high tide, the first gate 3 is opened while the second gate 4 is closed so as to allow sea water to flow into an artificial lagoon 2 from the open sea 1 through the purifying facility 6. Then, the first gate 3 is opened while the second gate 4 is closed so as to allow the sea water to flow into the open sea from the artificial lagoon 2 through the purifying facility 6 by used of a difference between the water levels. If the filtering material 5 becomes dirty, the first gate 3 is opened while the second gate 4 is closed so as to allow sea water to flow into the open sea 1 from the artificial lagoon through the purifying facility 6 in order to wash the latter.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the executability and reliability by providing a fixed discharge pipe holding a water collecting weir device on the free end of a supporting arm member and piercing the wall of a treating tank and further furnishing an expansion waste water discharge device and a lifting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The water collecting weir device 6 is kept higher than the high water level HWL of treated water 2 when not in use. When the device 6 is lowered on the surface of treated water 2, the expansion water discharge pipe device 8 is turned at a swivel joint 45 and contracted, and the treated water 2 overflowing from the device 6 is sent to a fixed discharge pipe 7. Even when the surface of the treated water 2 fluctuates between the high water level HWL and the low water level LWL, the water discharge pipe device 8 is bent at the joint 45 and smoothly expanded and contracted to permit the water collecting weir device 6 to follow the fluctuation in the water level, and the treated water 2 is allowed to overflow from the device 6 into the fixed discharge pipe 7. The executability and reliability are improved in this way.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the maintenance of structural members of the title device and to prevent the treated water from becoming turbid by providing a pulling-up mechanism to support the structural members to be higher than the highest water level of the treated water vessel and floating a water collecting trough on the water surface only when the discharge of water is carried out. CONSTITUTION:When the discharge of the treated water is not carried out, the water collecting trough 43 hinged to the supporting arm 41 is supported higher than the highest water level(HWL) by pulling up the supporting arm 41 with the pulling-up mechanism 48 working from the upward position. When the treated water is to be discharged, the supporting arm 41 is disengaged from the pulling-up mechanism 48 and the water collecting trough is floated on the water surface of the treatment vessel 1 by a float 10 so that the water collecting trough 43 is vertically moved according to the vertical movement of water level, and the treated water 2 is discharged upwards by a submerged pump 32 installed to the water collecting trough 43. As a result, the maintenance and the inspection are easy because no structural members are always submerged in the water, and the mixed liquid is not flowed in during aeration and agitation.
