摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rice fed from a rice feed port from being splashed in a rice washing chamber for washing the rice by the stream of the air flowing through a rice feed port into the rice washing chamber with a rice washer which is provided with the rice feed port for feeding the rice into the rice washing chamber on the top surface side of the rice washing chamber, conveys the rice by the stream of the air flowing from the rice feed port into the rice washing chamber by sucking the air in the rice washing chamber and drops and feeds the rice from the rice feed port into the rice washing chamber. SOLUTION: This rice washer is provided with a rice splashing preventive guide 42 which has right and left side walls 43, an inclined bottom wall 44 shifting downwardly toward the front and a back wall 45 and is opened at the front. This rice splashing preventive guide 42 is arranged in proximity to a vertical wall surface 17 so as to cover the rice feed port 40 by the right and left side walls 43, the bottom wall 44 and the back wall 45 such that the rice is dropped and fed from the rice feed port 40 to the rice splashing preventive guide 42.

SOLUTION: A vertical cylinder shaft 21 having a stirrer 23 is freely rotatably supported on the upper part of the rice washing tank 20, a valve spindle 22 is freely vertically-movably inserted inside the vertical cylinder shaft 21, a rice discharging valve 24 which opens and closes a rice discharging port 20a of the rice washing tank 20 is disposed on the lower part of the valve spindle 22 and the elevating/lowering mechanism 26 which elevates and lowers the valve spindle 22 is arranged on the upper side of the rice washing tank 20. The elevating/lowering mechanism 26 is provided with a towing body 43 which is arranged on the upper part of the rice washing tank 20 and can change the horizontal position, a towing rope 41 which connects the towing body 43 to the valve spindle 22, a guiding member 50 which turns the towing rope 41 from an approx. horizontal direction to a vertical direction on the upper side of the valve spindle 22 and a moving means 28 which changes the horizontal position of the towing body 43 so as to move vertically the rice discharging valve 24 between the position of closing the rice discharging port 20a and the position of opening the same.
