The rice cooking by each rice cooker A to F is controlled to finish at the same time by controlling the soaking time in each rice cooker A to F to be over at the same time or controlling the other rice cookers A to F to start cooking at the same time as one of the rice cookers A to F which is the last to be supplied with the rice from the rice washing device 2 starts cooking.

Accordingly, the above moving device can be installed at a lower cost as compared with rack-pinion type or a cylinder type device. Furthermore, gentle motion can be made by a driving source such as a motor or the like, and the device can be accommodated in a narrow space.
