摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space-saved type waste water treating method capable of removing highly efficiently SS, BOD, COD, etc., from inflow raw water of the waste water or the like. SOLUTION: Suspended solids of less than 100mg/l in inflow raw water are filtered by a first filter 2 having a filter layer composed of filter media of 5-15mm particle size. The first filter effluent 3 from a first filter 2 is denitrified in a denitrification bath 4a wherein a catalyst carrier T to which denitrifying bacteria or the like are fixed in high concentration is charged in. The denitrification treated water is nitrified in a nitrification bath 4b wherein a catalyst carrier T' to which nitrifying bacteria or the like are fixed in high concentration is charged. An inorganic flocculating agent 8 is mixed in biologically treated water 7 flowing out therefrom and mixed, which is filtered with a second filter 10 having a filter layer 10a composed of the filter media to which many kinds of microorganism are stuck in high concentration. Since removal and decomposition treating capacity of the first and second filters 2, 3 and the biological treating bath 4 are excellent thereby, SS, BOD, COD, etc., can be highly efficiently removed from the waste water irrespective of a space-saved type waste water treating method.

摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a sewage filter in which excellent filter performance of floating materials is maintained over a long time and the time required for backwashing is shortened. CONSTITUTION: An upper filter bed 3 of a filter bed body 2 is packed with filter mediums 3a each consisting of three small cylinders combined integrally in parallel to each other and each small cylinder is provided with a clearance (t) opened outward and having 12-20mm outer diameter D and length L and 1.05-1.15 specific gravity. A lower filter bed 4 thereof is packed with filter mediums 4a each having the same shape as the filter medium 3a and whose small cylinder has 3-8mm outer diameter D and length L and 1.3-1.5 specific gravity. Since the void of these filter mediums 3a, 4a is large, the upper filter bed 3 and the lower filter bed 4 continue to catch large floating materials and small floating materials over a long time, respectively. Since the small cylinders are each provided with the clearance (t), a floating material such as hair and a fibrous one is easily eliminated from the filter mediums 3a, 4a by flow due to backward washing.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a porous packing for a deodorizer having an extremely high compressive strength and an extremely low pressure drop when packed in a deodorization tank and capable of sufficiently growing microorganisms. CONSTITUTION:This porous packing is used for a deodorizer for a microorganism growth bed imparting a growth environment to the microorganisms having a malodorous material decomposing function and immobilizing the microorganisms. The packing consists of the material obtained by carbonizing the raw coal consisting essentially of caking coal at 1000-1300 deg.C to release the volatile component in the coal. The packing 8 obtained by crushing the carbonized material has 5-50mm average grain diameter, contains 80-90wt.% fixed carbon and 5-20wt.% ash and has many micropores 82 having 50-500mum inner diameter. Such a porous packing is packed in a deodorization tank to form the deodorizer.

Furthermore in a controller 10, evaluation data is calculated from the difference of the output of the detector 11 and the output of the sensor 12 and the evaluation data and preset standard are compared and the number of revolutions of a feed pump 6 for the flocculating agent is controlled so that it is allowed to coincide with the preset standard. In such a way, amount of the flocculating agent to be added to sludge in water treatment can be automatically controlled.

When sludge is thus washed with water, the dissolved components which exists in the liq. phase of the sludge prior to the flocculation stage and causes the clogging of a filter cloth, a filter, etc., and fine particles which coexists in the solid phase of the sludge and similarly causes the clogging are removed by the washing water. Accordingly, dehydration is effectively carried out.
