摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily compute correct braking torque from the output of a strain gauge. SOLUTION: In a disc brake device with a brake caliper 1 supported to a brake fitting part 20 by support pins 13, 14 accommodated in pinholes 11a, 12a of a pair of brackets 11, 12, a strain gauge is fitted into an area on the outer peripheral surface of the bracket 11 or 12 on the opposite side to the rotating direction of a disc rotor and in an area within a range of 90 deg. on both sides around the axes of the support pins 13, 14 from the passing points P1, P2 of tangents of circular arcs R1, R2 passing intersection points Q2 between the pinholes 11a, 12a and the circular arcs R1, R2 passing the center of the support pins 13, 14 respectively with the center axes of the support pins 14, 13 as the center. Braking torque is computed on the basis of output from the strain gauge.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect braking torque more accurately in a disc brake device for rolling stock. SOLUTION: A strain gauge 30 is fitted to a brake caliper of a disc brake device. In a braking torque computing means 40, a detection signal from the strain gauge 30 is multiplied by a proportional coefficient to compute brake torque, and the proportional coefficient is corrected by a proportional coefficient correcting means 41 according to the grade of braking pressure. A correcting strain gauge 35 is provided on the curved part inner peripheral side of the base end of an arm of the brake caliper, and the detection signal from the strain gauge 30 is corrected on the basis of a detection signal from the correcting strain gauge 35 so as to eliminate the influence of strain to the direction to tend to open the arm.

These strain gauges are connected to a bridge circuit and the pressure difference of respective middle point voltage of two resistances is extracted as an output and utilized to the detection of a brake force.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure high reliability and durability with a simple structure of a brake device by sensing strain rates generated on specified positions due to braking torque as electric rates, and inversely operating the torque required for generating the electric rates as braking torque. SOLUTION: Two specified positions are sensed in their strain rates by means of a strain gage 33a, and their temperatures by means of a temperature sensor 35. The strain rates are thermally corrected by means of a thermally correction circuit 38. The strain rates after thermal correction are converted into torque by means of a strain-torque conversion circuit 39. The torque to generate the strain is calculated in each specified positions. Torque values are meanized by means of a statistical treatment circuit 40. The meanized value is evaluated through other statistical value treatments. After reducing an erroneous ratio, it is output as braking torque. The output from such a computation device 37 is fed back to an automatic controlling circuit of the brake device, and adapted to deceleration controlling. It is thus possible to secure high reliability and durability with a simple structure.
