摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the deterioration of insulation properties on a large electrical structure accurately at all times. SOLUTION: Nonconductive FRP rods 12 are employed for reinforcing base concrete 13. A large electrical structure, i.e., a transformer 14 for RF heating furnace, is set on a base 11 constructed of the base concrete 13 and FRP rods 12 connected with anchor bolts 15. A measuring unit 17 is connected with the earth wire 16 of transformer 14 for RF heating furnace. The measuring unit 17 comprises a leakage current detector 19 for measuring a current flowing from the earth wire 16 to the earth electrode 18 thereof, and a potential detector 21 for measuring the ground potential at the joint 20 to transformer 14 for RF heating furnace on the earth wire 16.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent electric shock accident by ensuring the soundness of ground system for electric facility in an insulated building employing reinforced plastic reinforcing rods. SOLUTION: A concrete building 11 employs nonmagnetic and nonconductive reinforced plastic reinforcing rods 12 in place of iron rods. The earth wire 24 of an electric facility 13 installed in the concrete building 11 is connected with a detector 25 comprising a current detector 27 for measuring the leakage current of electric facility 13, and a potential detector 28 for measuring the ground potential of electric facility 13. Detection results are outputted to a central supervisory section 32. The central supervisory section 32 analyzes the soundness of grounding in the electric facility 13 and takes a safety measure, e.g. delivers an alarm or interrupt the power supply to the electric facility 13, when the soundness of grounding deteriorates below a predetermined reference level.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform impermeable works by a superior workability by integrally bonding a fiber cloth layer having a prescribed length of pile on its surface to a water resistant layer and by setting it as a laminated element. SOLUTION: An impermeable sheet 1 is provided by a laminated element formed by integrally bonding a fiber cloth layer 11, or a mesh cloth of knot 3-50 mm having a pile 8 of length 1 mm or more on a water resistant layer 10, or an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer layer. A fiber cloth drain layer is provided in an un-bonded face side of the fiber cloth layer 11 in the water resistant layer 10. The impermeable sheet 1 is laid on a tunnel wall face composed of a rock layer and/or a ground layer with its surface having the pile 8 faced to the frontmost face and the water resistant material is applied on the surface having the pile 8 so as to be hardened. This constitution enables the impermeable works efficiently at superior workability.

SOLUTION: There is provided a cut-off sheet formed of a sheet-like waterproof substrate having a projective wall with a height of 1 mm or more at least on one surface of the substrate, or alternatively a cut-off sheet formed of a sheet-like waterproof substrate having a projective wall with a height of 1 mm or more at least on one surface of the substrate and a drain layer on the other surface of the substrate. There is also provided a cut-off method using the cut-off sheet. According to the method, after or without laying an earth retaining wall layer on a surface to be cut off, the cut-off sheet is laid on the surface such that the surface having the projective wall, of the cut-off sheet, forms an uppermost surface, and a waterproof material is applied to the surface having the projective wall, followed by curing the material, to thereby form a waterproof material layer.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of a fiber-reinforced plastic rod by arranging a large number of reinforcing fibers, in which inner and outer layers are formed by a specified material, in the same direction using the fibers impregnated with a resin and solidifying the fibers. SOLUTION: The rock bolt is constituted in such a manner that a fiber layer consisting of a large number of reinforcing fibers drawn and paralleled in the substantially same direction is impregnated with a resin and solidified while an inner layer section is formed of glass fiber and an outer layer section of polyvinyl alcohol fiber in the fiber layer. A filament material such as a cord is wound spirally along a rod surface as required for improving adhesive properties with a matric and preventing extraction, and an irregular section is formed to a surface. Accordingly, strength and an elastic modulus can be improved because a glass fiber is disposed to the inner layer section, and an excellent reinforcing effect can be ensured even under alkaline conditions because the PVA fiber having superior weather resistance, alkali resistance, chemical resistance, etc., is arranged to the outer layer section and a more surpassing reinforcing effect can be displayed because a large impact is relaxed by a comparatively flexible PVA fiber.

SOLUTION: 10.000 to 10.000 thousand deniers of slivers, which provide unit fibers whose average fineness is at most 100 deniers and whose average fiber length ranges from 20 to 200mm are supplied on a quantitative basis in proportion to the rotary speed of the rollers while the fibers are being separated at least with a pair of upper and lower nip rollers 3 and draft rollers 4. Then, the slivers 10 are supplied to a hydraulic molded product force feed pipe or a spray nozzle 9 where they are mixed with matrixes, thereby spraying. In this case, wastes and regenerated fibers produced after they are used for a cloth or a carpet are serviceable as slivers. This construction makes it possible to prevent the generation of fiber balls or a drop in the fluidity of the matrix and thereby enhance workability.

SOLUTION: A spinning dope containing 0.02-0.2 wt.% boric acid and/or borate and 5-40 wt.% vinyl alcohol-based polymer, and having water as a solvent is subjected to a step for extruding the dope into a coagulation bath at which the dope is spun into an alkaline coagulation bath containing 0.0025-0.25 mol/l alkali and inorganic salts, and the resultant yarn is passed through the following steps in order to provide the objective polyvinyl alcohol-based fiber: (1) a neutralizing step for neutralizing the yarn in an aqueous solution containing 0.005-0.5 mol/l acid and inorganic salts; (2) a washing step for washing the neutralized yarn so that the amount of the inorganic salts attached to the yarn may be 1-15 wt.%; (3) a drying step for drying the resultant yarn; (4) a dry hot-drawing step, and (5) a drying and finishing step for washing the drawn yarn so that the salts may be substantially completely removed, and drying the washed yarn.
