摘要： Systems and methods of handover are disclosed. The UE initiates an autonomous handover timer based on triggering of a measurement report. The autonomous handover timer is dependent on the UE mobility and unlicensed spectrum channel occupancy used by the UE. The UE selects autonomous handover or network-based handover dependent on whether a handover command and autonomous handover information have been received prior to expiration of the timer. The UE performs network-controlled handover when the handover command is received prior to expiration of the timer and autonomous handover otherwise. The UE performs contention-based RACH handover to a target eNB indicated by a target eNB ID in the autonomous handover information or based on the measurement report when the autonomous handover information is not received.

The eNB may encode an enhanced physical downlink control channel (ePDCCH) for transmission in a sub-frame in first physical resource blocks (PRBs). The ePDCCH may indicate: a transmission of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) in accordance with a wideband coverage enhancement (WCE), and second PRBs to be used for the transmission of the PDSCH. The eNB may encode the PDSCH for transmission. The eNB may configure transceiver circuitry to transmit the PDSCH in a plurality of subframes, wherein transmission of the PDSCH is repeated in each subframe of the plurality of sub-frames in the second PRBs as part of the WCE. The ePDCCH may be transmitted in a starting sub-frame of the plurality in the first PRBs.

The eNB may select, from candidate HARQ IDs, a HARQ ID for a scheduled uplink (SUL) transmission by another UE in a second sub-frame after the first sub-frame. The eNB may, if the GUL transmission is successfully decoded, include the HARQ ID for the GUL transmission in the candidate HARQ IDs for the GUL transmission. The eNB may, if the GUL transmission is not successfully decoded, exclude the HARQ ID for the GUL transmission from the candidate HARQ IDs for the GUL transmission.

An anchor channel can be configured to carry system information and paging messages for the U-IoT / eMTC communication on the different channels. The system information and paging messages can include essential system information such as a system information block MulteFire (SIB-MF) message. Physical channels can be configured to enable component carriers anchored to a long term evolution (LTE) licensed band, and entirely comprise unlicensed carrier components that are unanchored to any LTE component carrier in a standalone configuration to enable transmission of the U-IoT communication in standalone communications in an unlicensed band.

摘要： Systems and methods of measuring reference signals in a multefire scenario are described. A UE receives control information anchor channel dependent on whether the UE is in an adaptive frequency hopping system (FHS) and whether the FHS is a LBT FHS. The reference signals are received on an unlicensed band via the anchor and/or a non-anchor channel and measured for RRM and/or in-sync or out-of-sync measurements. RRM measurements are transmitted to the eNB for mobility management and otherwise the validity of an in- or out-of-sync indication is determined and a counter started when valid. The control information has a subframe configuration and resource allocation, which is used for SRS transmission on the non-anchor channel. Uplink scheduling information is received on the anchor channel for data transmission on the non-anchor channel based on the SRS.

An apparatus of a user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry configured to decode a configuration message to initiate a RACH-less handover from a source eNB to a target eNB, the configuration message including an uplink grant information and a resource type information. Synchronization information is encoded for transmission to the target eNB using a first uplink resource indicated by the uplink grant information. A second uplink resource on an unlicensed wireless band is selected based on the resource type information. A confirmation message indicating completion of the RACH-less handover is encoded for transmission to the target eNB on the unlicensed wireless band using the second uplink resource.
