摘要： Various embodiments are generally directed to techniques for improving the routing of control messages among components of a wireless communications system to control the provision of communications services to endpoint devices within a wireless network. An apparatus may include an interface to the network; a virtual switch to retrieve a device identifier of an endpoint device from a payload of a packet and to select a PCRF component to which to route the packet based on the device identifier, the endpoint device coupled to the network; and the selected PCRF component to grant a data session to the endpoint device based on an indication of a request by the endpoint device for the data session conveyed in the payload, the data session comprising an exchange of data between the endpoint device and the interface device through the network. 摘要： Telemetry information provided by a computing device includes switching key performance indicators (KPIs), platform KPIs, and topology information. The telemetry information is used to identify performance issues at the computing device, such as packets being dropped in a virtual switching stack or misconfiguration errors. A virtual switching monitor can identify which layers in the switching stack have errors and whether the errors occur along a transmit or receive path in the switching stack. A virtual switching controller can identify remedial actions that can be taken at the computing device to remedy a performance issue. A remedial action can be taken automatically, subject to user approval, or automatically after additional criteria are met.

摘要： A computing device includes an appliance status table to store at least one of reliability and performance data for one or more network functions virtualization (NFV) appliances and one or more legacy network appliances. The computing device includes a load controller to configure an Internet Protocol (IP) filter rule to select a packet for which processing of the packet is to be migrated from a selected one of the one or more legacy network appliances to a selected one of the one or more NFV appliances, and to update the appliance status table with received at least one of reliability and performance data for the one or more legacy network appliances and the one or more NFV appliances. The computing device includes a packet distributor to receive the packet, to select one of the one or more NFV appliances based at least in part on the appliance status table, and to send the packet to the selected NFV appliance. 摘要： The present disclosure provides mechanisms to optimize filter processing. Conventional filter processing techniques involve dividing a batch of received data packets into multiple Access Control Lists (ACLs) per filter group, and thus, cannot leverage of optimal ACL processing of large packet batches using the latest processor instruction sets such as 512 bit wide instructions. The filter processing techniques discussed in the present disclosure, some or all rules for a batch of packets are included in a single ACL look-up by including a filter group identifier (ID) in each rule, and also adding the filter group ID to a field of the packet undergoing the ACL look-up. This avoids false matches while also employing a single ACL look-up for an entire batch of packets, regardless of batch-size. The filter processing techniques can be applied to DOCSIS packet processing pipelines and/or other filtering mechanisms.

摘要： Technologies for reordering network packets on egress include a network interface controller (NIC) configured to associate a received network packet with a descriptor, generate a sequence identifier for the received network packet, and insert the generated sequence identifier into the associated descriptor. The NIC is further configured to determine whether the received network packet is to be transmitted from a compute device associated with the NIC to another compute device and insert, in response to a determination that the received network packet is to be transmitted to the another compute device, the descriptor into a transmission queue of descriptors. Additionally, the NIC is configured to transmit the network packet based on position of the descriptor in the transmission queue of descriptors based on the generated sequence identifier.
