摘要： In the present invention a novel method and device for measuring characteristics from a relatively weak signal comprising desired and undesired components is presented. Undesired signals may arise from the nature of the characteristic, from the detector or from the circuitry. The signal is extracted from a first measurement element (1) comprising these desired and undesired components. Using another signal from this first measurement element or from another second measurement element (2) the undesired components can be eliminated. The measurement method is extremely useful when using organic materials for the detectors, electronic circuitry, and measurement elements. These devices can be produced relatively cheap, but less reliable. They can also be combined in a one- or two-dimensional array for measuring characteristics over a larger area.

SOLUTION: Fiber optical face plates 13 transmit the light input and output of the photoelectric device 12. The fiber optical face plates 13 have markers 2111 including grooves and holes. The markers 2111, 2112 are formed not in the fiber optical face plates 13 but on the front surfaces of the fiber optical face plates 13. Parts are mounted in line up with an already treated structure 12 by, for example, adhesives, to the face plates 13. The markers 211 usually include the markers 2111 for position regulation and the characteristic parts 2112 for mounting the external device through plugs. The structure is used together with the inside of the fiber optical face plates 13 or markers 211 on the surfaces as the socket.

摘要： A device for detecting electromagnetic radiation in a semiconductor substrate wherein the electromagnetic radiation being absorbed in said substrate being spatially modulated, said electromagnetic radiation thereby creating a signal with a spatially modulated component in said substrate. Thus, a novel optical detection principle and associated structure is provided for semiconductor substrate detectors in general and for CMOS circuits in particular. Photons absorbed in the neutral zone of the substrate generate electron hole pairs that migrate by diffusion. A shadow mask gives a spatial modulation to the incident, and consequently, to the absorbed radiation. By measuring the magnitude of the spatial frequency component in the minority carrier distribution with spatial frequency corresponding to that of the shadow mask, a fast detector is conceived. A shadow mask with higher spatial modulation frequency delivers a faster turn-off. The combination of a plurality of these detectors with an image fiber forms a basic system for constructing high-speed parallel optical interconnects between chips.
