    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical element, such as a sensor and a solar battery, that can be downsized and mounted even in a narrow space, and to provide a method of manufacturing the electrical element with ease.SOLUTION: A semiconductor 8 is coated on a columnar body 2 by vapor deposition, or by application of molten or dissolved or gel-like one of the semiconductor. An object obtained by bonding four insulation wires 6 and threads in a stripe is wound around it, and then, one insulation wire 6 is peeled off, and copper is evaporated to this trace to form a copper wire 9. The insulation wire not adjacent to the copper wire 9 is peeled off, and aluminum is evaporated to this place to form an aluminum wire 10. By measuring a resistance value between the copper wire 9 and the aluminum wire 10, an intensity of light emitted on the semiconductor 8 can be known. Designing is facilitated by determining a thickness of the four insulation wires, the respective diameters of the copper wire 9 and the aluminum wire 10, and their interval. Thin threads are used as the insulation wires 6, a small-sized optical sensor can be obtained.

      SOLUTION: An open-cage fullerene 12 having a thirteen-membered ring opening is formed by a method described in the nonpatent literature 3. Oxygen atoms having a positive electron affinity are attached to the opening. The open-cage fullerene 12 and sodium 13 in a solid state are placed in a container, the atmosphere in the container is purged with an inert gas, and the contents are heated to melt the sodium. Then, the sodium atom, which has negative electron affinity, is electrically bound to the opening of the open-cage fullerene. By leaving the melt 14 to stand for a while under pressure, the sodium atom is pushed into the inside of the open-cage fullerene to form a sodium-atom-occluding fullerene. The sodium atoms remaining not occluded in the open-cage fullerene are safely removed, and the chemically modifying group is released by irradiation with ultraviolet rays. Then, the sodium-occluding fullerene is allowed to self-restore into a sodium-atom-containing endohedral fullerene whose cage is composed of six-membered rings and five-membered rings.
