    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition system capable of being used in an occupant crash protection device wherein a control device and an ignition device are connected by a bus line, and improving the reliability of communication by the bus line. SOLUTION: In this ignition system, a control unit 1 is constituted to transmit the delay time information only to the ignition devices which are objects of ignition and of which a delay time is not "zero" among the ignition devices 2a, 2b, 3c, then to transmit a presence or absence of ignition designating signal to designate the presence or absence of ignition to each of the ignition devices 2a, 2b, 3c, and to collectively transmit an ignition execution signal for instructing the execution of ignition to all of the ignition devices 2a, 2b, 2c. The ignition device receiving the delay time information sets an internal timer counting a delay time to the ignition, to the designated delay time, and sets the presence or absence of the ignition in each ignition device in accompany with the reception of the ignition presence or absence designating signal. In this ignition system, the ignition device determined as "presence of ignition" on the basis of the ignition presence or absence designating signal, and receiving the ignition execution signal, operates an auxiliary restriction device on the basis of the set time of the timer.
