    • A first inclined surface and a second inclined surface are provided on the inside of a mold to constitute a so-called two-step tapered mold. A mold powder is adjusted to have a total content of CaO component and SiO2 component of not less than 50 wt %, and a content of F component of not more than 11 wt %. The inclination rates of the first and second inclined surfaces are set according to the basicity or solidification temperature of the powder to be used. The pore area of molten steel discharge ports of a dipping nozzle is set to not less than 2500 mm2 to less than 6400 m2. The discharge angle of the molten steel discharge ports is set, based on the horizontal, obliquely downward to not less than 10° to not more than 35°. According to such a continuous casting method, solidification delay at angle parts of a bloom can be suppressed.

    • The invention provides a method of continuous casting for producing a slab excellent in surface quality by preventing formation of depressions and occurrence of cracking of a slab even in the case of producing a high Al steel having an Al content of 0.1% or more by continuous casting. At the time of continuous casting of a high-Al molten steel containing prescribed chemical components by using a mold powder, a powder containing T—CaO: 35 to 55%, SiO2: 10 to 30%, Al2O3: 4.0% or less (excluding 0%), MgO: 0.2 to 1.0%, Li2O: 7 to 13%, F: 7 to 13%, C: 10.5 to 14%, and inevitable impurities and satisfying 1.6≦[T—CaO]/[SiO2]≦5 and 0.2≦[Li2O]/[SiO2]≦1.1 is used as the mold powder, and operation is carried out while controlling the conditions such as the molten steel surface level fluctuation speed in the mold; the pouring angle of the molten steel in the width direction of the mold; the stroke in the amplitude; and the negative strip time tN defined by a prescribed relational expression.

    • A parking mechanism includes a parking gear disposed within a belt type continuously variable transmission and coaxially fixed to a first rotational shaft of a secondary pulley. A parking pawl is rotatable on a plane perpendicular to the first rotational shaft and able to engage the parking gear with a transmission housing to stop rotation of the secondary pulley. A manual shaft is rotatable with an operational force of a driver for a lever. A detent mechanism is provided for changing a rotational movement of the manual shaft to a movement in a direction of the first rotational shaft. The movement in the direction of the first rotational shaft is transmitted to the parking pawl through a rod. A cam is disposed at an end section of the rod to change the movement in the first rotational shaft to a rotational movement on the plane perpendicular to the first rotational shaft. The parking gear is integrally formed at an outer peripheral section of a fixed sheave of the secondary pulley. The detent mechanism for operating the parking pawl is disposed to side of the movable sheave of the secondary pulley. At least a part of the rod is located above a belt passed on a primary pulley and the secondary pulley of the belt type continuously variable transmission.
