    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a rotor for a rotating machine, which can make a desired region non-magnetized, while keeping the form of an electromagnetic steel plate.
      SOLUTION: A rotor core 22 is made by stacking electromagnetic steel plates 24 having a plurality of magnet slots 28, and non-magnetic coating containing non-magnetic matter is applied on the surface 30 of the region of non- magnetization processing region of the electromagnetic steel plate 24, and the non-magnetic coating is diffused to permeate it by heating the electromagnetic steel plate 24, thus a non-magnetic region is made in the desired non- magnetization region, and a magnet in embedded in the rotor core.
