    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical shaft valve water turbine having a stay vane arrangement structure capable of shortening work time in inspection-maintenance.
      SOLUTION: In this vertical shaft valve water turbine, an inlet pipe is arranged in a concrete foundation 17 so that a flowing water passage becomes the vertical direction; a valve with built-in generator, a stay vane 8 and a runner are arranged in this inlet pipe; and an inspection passage 18 communicating with the valve (an inside casing 22) side via the inside of the stay vane 8, is formed in the concrete foundation 17 from a water turbine chamber 10 separately arranged from the inlet pipe (an outside casing 21) by the concrete foundation 17. The stay vanes 8 are arranged in an X shape so as to become a plurality on the stay vanes 8 having its end part embedded and arranged in the concrete foundation on the water turbine chamber 18 side. The inspection passage 18 for separately communicating with these respective stay vanes 8, is formed in the concrete foundation 17.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce hydraulic loss even at the time of a partial load operation by forming a tip end of a blade in a shape which is unsymmetrized with a blade camber line, and enlarging a radium of curvature of the vane formed between a blade front rim of a top end of the blade and a runner side larger than that of the blade formed between the blade front rim and the blade of a stay vane. SOLUTION: A blade tip end part of a guide vane 1 of a hydraulic turbine is formed unsymmetrically with a blade camber line 5, and the radium Rai of curvature of a blade formed between a blade front rim 2a and a runner side li in a blade tip end part is enlarged larger than a radium Rao of curvature of the blade formed between the blade front rim 2a and a stay vane side 10. Even if a guide vane incidence angle is increased at the time of partial load operation, it is possible to suppress increase local flow speed of the blade tip end part so as to reduce hydraulic loss. Since a device is a simple structure, a manufacturing cost is approximately the same as that of a prior guide vane, and also a fully opening condition is approximately the same as that of the prior guide vane since a difference between this device and the prior guide vane is only a blade tip end part.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a fluorescent screen that provides a high-contrast display screen by preventing, when forming a pigment layer on the inner surface of a faceplate, pigment particles of other colors from being mixed into it. SOLUTION: A red pigment film formed on the inner surface of a plate 1 is exposed using an exposure mask, and a first organic resin film 4(1) formed on the exposed red pigment film is developed to obtain a red pigment layer 5R with the resin film 4(1). Then a blue pigment film formed on the inner surface of the plate 1 is exposed using the exposure mask, and a second organic resin film 4(2) formed on the exposed blue pigment film is developed to obtain a blue pigment layer 5B with the resin film 4(2). Also, a green pigment film formed on the inner surface of the plate 1 is exposed using the exposure mask and is developed thereafter to obtain a green pigment layer 5G. Next, phosphor layers 6R, 6B, 6G of corresponding colors are formed on the red pigment layer 5R, the blue pigment layer 5B, and the green pigment layer 5G by exposure and development using the exposure mask to manufacture the fluorescent screen of a color cathode-ray tube.

    • PURPOSE: To improve flow in a pump casing and to secure high efficiency driving within an extensive flow rate range by providing an extended part extending to the outlet side farther than a position in the vertical direction on an outlet end of an impeller hub side wall surface on an impeller shroud side wall surface of a volute type mixed flow pump having a mixed flow impeller. CONSTITUTION: A mixed flow impeller 2 where an angle r made by an impeller rear edge and a hub side wall surface 2a is 90 deg. or less is provided in a volute casing 1 of a rectangular sectional shape flow passage width of which is roughly constant in the radial direction. A shroud side wall surface 2b of this impeller 2 is constituted so as to have an extended part S extending to the outlet side farther than a position in the vertical direction on an outlet end A of the hub side wall surface 2a. Consequently, in a low flow rate region demanding high theoretical pump head, flow is changed so as to make uniform theoretical pump head on the impeller hub side and the shroud side, back flow on a casing rear wall surface 1a in the case when meridian plane flow velocity on the hub side becomes lower than meridian plane flow velocity on the shroud side is prevented, and high efficiency is maintained.
