    • PURPOSE:To improve performance and reduce noise by constituting guide vanes from two kinds of guide vanes equal in front edge radius and different in length, arranging the short guide vane between the adjacent long guide vanes, and setting the total number of guide vanes larger than the vane number of an impeller. CONSTITUTION:A pair of diffusers 4 and a diffuser with vanes consisting of too kinds of guide vanes 5, 6 different in length arranged between them in circular wing line form are set in the radial outside of a centrifugal impeller 2 fixed to a rotating shaft. One guide vane 5 is set longer than the other guide vane 6, and the total number of both the guide vanes 5, 6 is set larger than the vane number of the impeller 2. Both the guide vanes 5, 6 are alternately arranged in the circumferential direction, and the respective front edge radiuses ra are set equal to each other. Further, among two passages between both the adjacent guide vanes 5, 6, a throat 10 is formed on only one. Thus, a high performance centrifugal compressor having a wide operation range and low noise can be provided.

    • PURPOSE:To secure the uniform flow, prevent the exfoliation of stream and secure the superior performance by arranging a rectifying plate by positioning the front edge in the connection part between a suction pipe and a suction flow passage from a suction port, in a suction casing. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical suction pipe 2a is installed on a circular suction casing 2 surrounding a rotary shaft 1, and the suction casing 2 is formed in axially symmetrical form a suction pipe axis. Further, a vane wheel 3 fixed on the rotary shaft 1 is arranged in a suction flow passage 5. In this case, inside the suction casing 2, a plate-shaped rectifying plate 4 is fixed in the radial direction on the suction casing inner wall surface 2b. Further, the front edge of the rectifying plate 4 is arranged so as to be set between the suction pipe 2a and the connection part to the suction pipe 2a and a suction port 2c from the suction flow passage 5. Fluid flows uniformly on the both sides of the rectifying plate 4, and flows uniformly in the peripheral direction in the sucyion flow passage 5. Accordingly, the superior performance can be secured with the lightweight and inexpensive constitution.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent increase of leak even if size of clearance in a seal section is changed by providing an opening in the axial direction on the inlet side of a cylindrical section of an impeller side plate at the circumferential position and a wearing ring on the inner diameter side of the cylindrical section of the impeller side plate. CONSTITUTION:Since pressure loss occurs at the inlet of a seal section when ordinary clearance is provided in the seal section, pressure on the inner diameter side of cylindrical sections 2a, 2b of an impeller side plate becomes lower than that on the outer diameter side, and a flow which passes through openings 5a, 5b flows toward inside. This flow becomes resistance against a leak flow 8 which passes through the seal section, thereby decreasing leak flow rate. On the other hand, when clearance in the seal section is expanded due to wear, reduction of pressure from the outer diameter of the cylindrical sections 2a, 2b of the impeller side plate to the inner diameter decreases. Consequently, centrifugal force which acts on fluid in the openings becomes predominant due to the rotation of an impeller 2, and the flow which passes through the openings 5a, 5b flows toward outside. That is, a portion of the leak flow 8 becomes a bypass flow 9, thereby reducing the amount which flows toward the suction side of the impeller.
