    • Packages of a rolled photosensitive material comprise a core and a photosensitive material wound around the core, and one package further comprises a light-shielding leader connected with an end of the photosensitive material to shield the circumferential surface of the photosensitive material from light and a pair of light-shielding covers adhered to both sides of the leader in a peelable state to shield the side surfaces of the photosensitive material. Another package further comprises a light-shielding leader connected with an end of the strip material to shield the circumferential surface of the photosensitive material from light and a pair of side light-shielding covers adhered to shield both sides of the rolled photosensitive material so that the joining end substantially conforms to a boundary between the circumferential surface and the side surface of the photosensitive material, wherein at least one of the light-shielding leader and the side light-shielding cover is made of a tearable material in the boundary direction.

    • In a method and apparatus for packaging a rolled web, a feed roller is located near each of opposed end faces of the rolled web to be packaged. The axis of rotation of a feed roller is inclined with respect to the radial direction of the roll, which radial direction intersects perpendicularly to the direction along which a wrapping material having side edge parts folded in L-shapes is fed, such that the outer periphery of the axis of rotation, which outer periphery is taken in the radial direction of the roll, is more forward with respect to the direction, along which the wrapping material is fed, than the inner periphery of the axis of rotation. A folding member is located on the side more forward than the feed roller with respect to the direction, along which the wrapping material is fed. The folding member is supported such that the space between the folding member and the opposed end faces of the roll varies periodically. The feed roller rotates to feed the side edge part of the wrapping material while the side edge part is being imparted with tension towards the center of rotation of the roll. A slack portion of the side edge part of the wrapping material, which slack portion occurs on the side forward from the feed roller with respect to the direction, along which the wrapping material is fed, is folded by the folding member at predetermined intervals onto the opposed end faces of the roll.

    • In a microdevice in which a plurality of fluids respectively passing through a separate introduction channel are merged in a merging section in a micro space to mix the fluids and the mixed fluids are discharged from the merging section via a discharge channel, a tip section of each of the introduction channels comprises a tapered contraction section so as to contract a flow of fluid, the introduction channels are disposed so that central axes of the introduction channels do not intersect at one point each other, and the merging section is formed of a space surrounded with edges of the contraction sections of respective introduction channels. Thereby, reacting fluids can be mixed rapidly each other, and contamination of air bubbles into the whole fluid can be suppressed by narrowing a dead space of a discharge channel immediately after the merging section.
