摘要： A device for increasing an amount of fuel to be supplied to an engine includes a fuel increasing mechanism for supplying an added amount of fuel to the engine, and an electric control circuit including a low-temperature sensor for detecting a low temperature of the engine to produce a first signal capable of actuating the fuel increasing mechanism, and a neutral-gear-condition detector for detecting the neutral-gear-condition of a gear transmission associated with the engine to produce a second signal. The fuel increasing mechanism is inactivated in response to the second signal from the neutral-gear-condition sensor by overriding the low-temperature sensor to prevent the increase of fuel while the gear transmission is in neutral. A second embodiment employs additional sensors for air temperature, engine r.p.m., vehicle speed and the park-condition of an automatic transmission also for controlling the fuel increase.

摘要： An improvement in an exhaust gas purification apparatus wherein a detector senses the operation of a device for injecting additional intake air into the intake passage and triggers a timing unit. The timing unit produces a signal for a predetermined amount of time which holds open a control valve for introducing secondary air into the exhaust passage ahead of the catalytic converter. This structure enables the reduction of harmful components of the exhaust gas produced during a gear-change operation of the engine without greatly overheating the catalytic converter.

摘要： A heat generating device including a heat generating element and an enclosing material entirely enclosing the heat generating element. The heat generating element includes a base sheet formed of a fibrous sheet containing superabsorbent polymer particles and hydrophilic fibers and a layer of a heat generative composition containing oxidizable metal particles on a side of the base sheet. The enclosing material includes a first cover sheet and a second cover sheet bonded together in their peripheral portions to provide a space therebetween in which the heat generating member is placed. The heat generating element in the space is in a non-fixed state to the enclosing material. The first cover sheet has air permeability in part and is disposed on the side of the layer of the heat generative composition. The heat generating device is capable of releasing steam from the side of the first cover sheet during use.
