    • PURPOSE: To reduce the entire length of a cryotemperature refrigerant transfer pipe and ensure effective transfer by providing a sealed pipe as a piping for transferring a cryotemperature refrigerant to an article to be cooled, and disposing a piping for transferring a heat shielding refrigerant having higher temperature than the cryotemperature refrigerant such that it makes contact with the shielding pipe. CONSTITUTION: A shielding pipe 5 and a cryotemperature refrigerant transfer piping 13 for supplying liquid nitrogen to a cryostat 2 are disposed in a thermal contact state such that the former shielding pipe 5 is cooled with the latter cryotemperature refrigerant transfer piping. The liquid nitrogen is introduced into the cryotemperature refrigerant transfer piping 13 through a refrigerant piping 14 from a liquid nitrogen supply installation 7 to cool the shielding pipe 5 and is guided to the cryostat 2. The gas nitrogen that absorbs a thermal load with the cryostat 2 and hence is gasified is heated to ordinary temperature with a heater 15 and is exhausted to the atmosphere through the piping 16. Hereby, the length of the refrigerant piping 14 kept cold in vacuum is reduced totally, and the need of a refrigerant control system for cooling the shielding pipe 5 is eliminated, and hence effective transfer is ensured.
