Thrust bearings 17a and 17b are provided on at least one or more portions between the core plate side disc part 42 of the impellers 4 and the diffuser member 5.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an unstable characteristic from a pump head curve by forming a structure of a straightening plate arranged between diffuser blades as a fine mesh structure in the vicinity of a diffuser blade wall, and forming a part where a vortex flow and a secondary flow by separation of a flow of a diffuser are not generated, as a rough mesh structure. SOLUTION: A vortex flow by separation is generated on the wall surface side of diffuser blades 1, and continues backward, and a flow in a diffuser is disturbed. In order to prevent this, a straightening plate 2 is arranged between the blades in the tip vicinity of the diffuser blades 1. The straightening plate 2 is formed as a mesh structure, and is formed as a fine mesh structure 2a in this range since a vortex flow is generated on the wall surface side of the diffuser blades 1, and is formed as a rough mesh structure 2b in a nonsuch range. The respective mesh structures are formed as a structure which does not reduce efficiency of an existing pump and hardly causes a loss. Therefore, a flow flowing out of an impeller is straightened and stabilized, and a speed head being a role of the diffuser can be effectively converted into a pressure head.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a bearing capable of stably bonding a back metal to a resin sliding member, and causing no separation in operation, and to provide the bearing.
      SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing the bearing wherein the resin sliding member 5 is bonded to a sliding side-surface of the back metal 2 of a journal bearing 1, a metallic filter 4 having a matted outer peripheral surface is mounted at an inner peripheral side of the back metal 2 through a wax material 3, and a uniform pressurizing device 11 positioned on an inner periphery of a high-frequency heating coil 9 and capable of pressing the same with uniform distribution in the circumferential direction, is mounted at an inner peripheral side of the metallic filter 4. The method comprises a first bonding process for pressing and bonding the metallic filter 4 to the back metal 2 by the uniform pressurizing device 11 while heating the same by the high-frequency heating coil 9 in a state of rotating the whole, and a second bonding process for placing the resin sliding member 5 at the inner peripheral side of the metallic filter 4 after the temperature up, pressing the resin sliding member 5 by the uniform pressurizing device 11 for melting the resin sliding member 5 on the inner peripheral surface of the metallic filter 4, and impregnating a porous part of the metallic filter 4 wit the resin sliding member 5.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve unstable characteristics caused by reduction of all pump head in a low flow rate region by forming a blade outlet diameter of a spurn water blade smaller than a stage push outer diameter arranged on a sliding part between a stage and a main shaft. SOLUTION: In centrifugal fluid machinery, the entrifugal force by turning at an inlet part of an impeller 3 generates flow from a core plate side in a radial direction, and reverse flow is generated in the vicinity of an inlet side plate of the impeller 3. When the reverse flow is invaded into a return flow passage 7, pre-turning component is enlarged in an equation of a theoretical pump head, and thereby, a unstable characteristic of a pump head characteristic is generated as well as reducing the all pump head. The outlet diameter ϕD of a spurn water blade 6 is formed smaller than an outer diameter ϕD' of a stage bush 8. When it is suppressed that flow in a return flow passage 7 is influenced by reverse flow of a low flow rate region, reduction of the all pump head is eliminated, and the stable characteristic is obtained.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce the occurrence of a pressure pulsation by a method wherein a plurality of holes are formed in the side wall surface of a flow passage between the vanes of a diffuser and intercommunicated through a bypass. CONSTITUTION: A flow flowing in from a pump suction casing is boosted through rotation of an impeller and discharged to a diffuser. Holes 8 are formed in a side wall 5 surface between diffuser blades and intercommunicated through a groove 9 (a bypass pipe). Thus, even when a flow flowing out from an impeller is interfered at the front edge of the diffuser and pressure pulsation occurs, pulsations between which a phase is displaced are offset with each other through propagation of it through the groove 9 (a bypass pipe) from the holes 8 and a pressure pulsation in a diffuser flow passage is reduced. Especially, when a hole on the diffuser blade inlet negative pressure surface (a recessed surface) side where a pressure pulsation is highest is communicated with a hole in the same position between different blades between which a phase is displaced, a pressure pulsation is sharply reduced.
