摘要： While the excitation voltage (Ve) of an ink jet nozzle is swept on the logarithmic scale, the generation state of ink droplets at a phase θ k is examined (A). An excitation voltage value Vn generating an ink droplet of small diameter (3) at the phase θ k , an excitation voltage value Vn generating an ink droplet of large diameter (2) at the phase θ k , which is lower than vn, and an excitation voltage value Vn + generating on ink droplet of large diameter at the phase θ k , which is higher than vn are stored (B). Difference values expressed asare derived on the logarithmic scale. Then the nozzle excitation voltage is set at such a value as to generate ink droplets and minimize the value of | Wn - wn |.

摘要： An ink jet printing apparatus comprises a nozzle head including, orifices for ejecting ink particles, pressure chambers each having a piezoelectric element for applying a pressure wave to ink in the chamber and each communicating with corresponding one of the orifices and an ink chamber communicating with the pressure chambers, and electrical signal applying device for applying an electrical signal to selected one or ones of the piezoelectric elements to produce the pressure waves. The electrical signal applying device applies a main electrical signal pulse to the selected one or ones of the piezoelectric elements for inducing rises of the pressure waves and applies a sub-electrical signal pulse for suppressing the pulsations of the pressure waves a predetermined time interval after the main electrical signal.

摘要： A liquid droplet projection apparatus is disclosed which comprises a nozzle arranged at a liquid droplet ejection head, a liquid droplet supply tank, and an electro-mechanical transducer section interposed on the head between the nozzle and the tank. The volume of the electro-mechanical converter means changes in volume in response to an electrical signal pulse applied thereto to cause the nozzle to eject liquid droplets in accordance with the electrical signal. When the pattern of the electrical signal applied to the electromechanical transducer section has an interruption period longer than a predetermined width and three or more successive electrical signals following the interruption period, the amplitude and/or width of the second one of the successive electrical signals is enlarged as compared with the amplitude and/or width of the other electrical signals, thus preventing the diameter of the second liquid droplet ejected following the interruption from being reduced.

A control device 13 specifies an optimal diluent addition amount based on the detected temperature and humidity and gives a command to a control device 14. A diluent addition device 10 adds a diluent 17 for ink viscosity adjustment from a diluent liquid tank 9 to an ink circulation system by the amount specified by the control device 14. Thus the effect of environmental conditions (temperature and humidity) on a change in ink viscosity can be minimized.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve cleaning capacity and thereby obtain a cleaning device capable of drying in a short time by introducing ultrasonic cleaning and permitting alternate selection of washing solutions in such an order as flon solvent, water and flon solvent. CONSTITUTION:Flon solvent is introduced into a washing vessel 2 from a washing solution container 5 by means of a circulation device 4. This introduction process continues until it overflows into a washing bath inside an ultrasonic cleaner 1 and accumulates there. Then a recording part 3 is cleaned by means of ultrasonic waves in the washing bath by the ultrasonic cleaner 1. This cleaning enables separation and floatation above the liquid level of dust or ink in the minute corners of the record ing part 3. The ink afloat overflows into the washing bath of he ultrasonic cleaner 1 by the circulation device 4 together with a flon solvent. The overflowing liquid is recovered into another container to minimize the contamination of the liquid in the container 5. Next, water in a washing solution container 6 is introduced into the washing bath and washing vessel 2 by the same process to perform ultrasonic cleaning in a circulation state. Finally flon solvent in a washing solution container 7 performs ultrasonic cleaning in the same steps, removing the residual water. The flon solvent remaining in the recording part 3 evaporates spontaneously in the air or is forcibly dried by a blower provided in the cleaning device.

摘要： PURPOSE:To control the viscosity of ink to a stable state, by detecting the air stream of an ink particle flying part to control the addition quantity per a unit time of a diluent for controlling the viscosity of ink added to an ink recirculation route. CONSTITUTION:The ink particle injected from a nozzle 3 is subjected to deflection control by a deflection electrode 7 to be adhered to the material 9 to be recorded wound around a rotary cylinder 8. A rotary cylinder control unit 17 controls a rotary apparatus 18 to rotate the cylinder 8 for the purpose of ink jet recording or to stop the same for the purpose of waiting for recording and the presence of the air stream of an ink particle flying part is detected by the presence of the rotation of said cylinder 8. On the basis of the detection result, a control unit 16 operates a pressure pump and a recovery pump 5 during the operation of an ink jet recording apparatus and controls a pump 13 so that the ink 16 in a tank 1 is recirculated to a recirculation system and a diluent 15 is added to the tank 1 from a tank 14 in quantity according to the diluent addition quantity order from the control unit 17. By this method, the proper control of ink viscosity can be performed.
