摘要： PURPOSE:To facilitate the connection of a lead wire by forming alternately a strip-shaped electrode and an electrode with continuity thereto at an interval to the side face of a composite piezoelectric substance and connecting lead wires at an intervalfrom both side faces. 摘要： PURPOSE:To make it possible to produce a high-quality crack-free ceramic scintillator, by using a metal having a coefficient of thermal expansion substantially equal to that of the sintered substance as the raw material for a metallic capsule in which the material is packed in sintering a rare earth oxysulfide by the HIP method. CONSTITUTION:In sintering a rare earth oxysulfide [e.g., a compound of the formula (wherein x is in the range of 3X10 , and the amount of F is 2-1000ppm)] by the hot isostatic press method (hereinbelow referred to as HIP), a metal having a coefficient of thermal expansion substantially equal to that of the sintered substance is used as the raw material for a metallic capsule in which the material is packed together with a sintering aid (e.g., Li2GeF6). For instance, iron-nickel steel is the most suitable for the rare earth oxysulfide of the above formula. By performing HIP by using this capsule, a crack-free ceramic scintillator can be made in good yields. Therefore, the ceramic scintillator obtained above is suitable as a material for a radiation-detecting element for X-ray CT.

摘要： PURPOSE:To accurately and easily manufacture a composite piezoelectric material that formerly is hard to work by forming a cut groove form the front surface of a resonator while remaining a part of its thickness, packing a resin in the said groove, and cutting off the unnecessary part of the resonator from its rear surface. CONSTITUTION:The resonator 201 is temporarily adhered on a block 203 having excellent parallelism and flatness with a resin 202 softened when wax or the like is heated. Then a cut groove 204 is formed to the depth of t1 longer than the thickness of the composite piezoelectric material to be formed in matrix state in the resonator 201 while leaving a part of the thickness by means of a diesing saw. A resin such as polyurethane or epoxy resin 206 is packed and cured in the groove 204. Then the resin 202 is melted. The resonator 201 is turned over, and temporarily adhered on the block having the excellent parallelism and flatness 207 with wax, etc. 208. Thereafter, the unnecessary part of the resonator 201 is sequentially cut off from the edge by using a thicker blade 209 so that the depth of the cut-off part is made equal to the thickness t2 of the composite piezoelectric material to be formed. Finally, the material is stripped off from the block 207 to obtain the composite piezoelectric material.

Thereby, the decomposition of Gd2O2S at a high temp. is suppressed and the scattering of the characteristics of Gd2O2S sintered compact is remarkably decreased to obtain the sintered compact suitable as scintillator for X-ray CT.

Thus, electroacoustic transducer of high performance using the 1-3 type combined piezoelectric material is obtained.

A sealed part 9 can be formed at the tip end of a pipe 3 by using a hydraulic press 6 as a pressing means 7 and pressing the vacuum-sealing part 5 of the pipe 3 protruded from the metal capsule 2 with a cylindrical cemented carbide tip 8.
